Very surprised this hasn’t been addressed after over a decade.
Really makes arranging and editing a real pain. Even more so if you have overlapping clips such as transitions.

Honestly, this has to be on the top of things stopping me from committing 100% to Live
I even made a video about this (and related features): https://youtu.be/iPXTwkrwbKo

I agree!
Waiting for this feature since more than 10 years!
It works perfectly with the MIDI editor for the notes, why not in the timeline?

It is a nightmare !!!
I finally bought ableton and it lacks basic features.
if you record a track with a HW sampler, and all your samples are on the the same track, then you have to cut and move each one individually into new tracks. I could have cut all the track first, then select all the same sounds with CTRL + CLICK then move them into a new track.
Come on

It's definitely kind of mind-boggling that this feature hasn't gotten into the daw after all this time. It's like one of the only main features left that most daws have had for years. I don't understand why it's so difficult. In fact, I can't believe they still don't have linked clips yet. Why? DAWS need to have efficient workflows and not being able to link midi clips just makes the daw feel like a dinosaur. I love this software, but c'mon! Get the basics in there please.
