flip4mac

no more problems in that department, kind sir.
yeah.. thanks..
I know that one.. and it's not free..

I'm not paying for something that should be free..
Those big boys are all fighting so their formats become the world standard..
Rule number one is to feed the world with free players..
Have you ever tried to DL Real Player within 2 clicks?

Microsoft is bugging Apple by not supporting WMV for Mac anymore,
and Apple is too stubborn to not implement native WMV support and pushing Quicktime..
They should buy that flip4 company and put the technology into OSX..

When will there be only 1 format?
I now have to use 6 different players to have some 18+ friday night fun fun
VLC plays anything in the known universe

videolan.com i think

Wikipedia wrote:On January 12, 2006, Microsoft discontinued their own Windows Media Player for Mac OS X and began distributing Flip4Mac WMV Player for free instead. Both Flip4Mac's and Microsoft's websites list the product as "Windows Media® Components for QuickTime by Flip4Mac™". The product refers to itself during install as "Flip4Mac WMV."
Apple can't include every codec under sun now, can they?
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

:? :?: the biggest computer corporation in the known universe's format is hardly 'every codec under the sun'

"Hold down" is a nice thought. But the real trick is to TIE DOWN the family. Now here's what you need to know: You might think duct tape is the best, but it's very uncomfortable when you rip it off, especially for the child, whose skin is soft and tears easily. Silk ties are much gentler and still strong enough to bind the arms and legs (as well as a useful gag so you can't hear them complain too much). And if I tie them up, gag them, and then sit them on the couch behind my DAW, it's almost like they're the best....umm, shall we say...captive audience...that I can find for my music. That way, music-making actually counts as quality family time. Try it for yourselves.
