good point...

also, let's not forget that part of this thread also included me picking on you as usual :)

I realize you were trying to be funny and all, but I think this is exactly the kind of shit that breeds anti-mac and anti-pc conversations. This was entirely a thread about XP SP3 and then sort of about how to optimize new installations. I have to wonder why you even read it other than to come over here and take a big shit in the middle of the room.

I personally don't bother reading any OSX or Logic or Protools threads any more because I have nothing relevant to say and at worst I might just be offensive by trying to be funny.
I had thought that you already had turned it into a thread about how to avoid making music by tweaking the OS. Sorry, didn't want to offend you ... Does your system run stable and efficiently now?

Guten Rutsch und schöne Grüsse nach Bembeltown!!
It is not that much about friends, just professional thing, the gear you bring to a gig is part of what they pay for so expensive computer, blinking controllers are part of it, why they hire you and not a guy who has headphone and 10CD, calls himself DJ and will work for half of your fees or free.
I dont give a shit about it all but it is show biz so you have to show your business. Macbooks ( non Pro) are in the cheapest laptops range and everyone knows that. Also everyone knows that Macs are easy to use for non computer savvy- , combined with the Macbooks low prices it means you are low end in all aspects = cheap ass. It is like having @aol.com E mail address.
Additionally the white Macbook became as much gay fashion accessory as Dolce & Gabbana, at least here inn Frankfurt area. The Caribbean clubs where I work are hardcore machistas, for them even Salsa Nuyorkina is gay.

My system has always run very efficiently and trouble-free. XP has served me well since 2001. :)
