best songs of 2007
"I'm so hood" - DJ Khaled feat T-Pain, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy and Plies
"Pop Bottles" - Birdman feat Lil Wayne and Jadakiss
"Kiss kiss" Chris Brown feat T-Pain
there's a lot more I just haven't watched BET in the last couple of days
adonis i was shocked u didn't say kanye and t-pain good life because i think that was a better song overall.
if we are talking BET content then what about Alicia Keys and Junior Reid, "no one". that song is hot in the clubs and in jamaican airwaves.
also mims, junior reid, baby cham, "this is why i'm hot remix"
and you can't ront on 50 cent "i get money" without that audio two sample it wouldn't be as hot.without the crazy synth line it would be just boring.
I really don't like Kayne West that much - I'm kind of a sucker for super ghetto gangsta rap though
That Alicia Keys track is hot for sure
Since I didn't go home (Mississippi) for xmas this year I have to keep BET on 24 / 7 - seems it's on 24 / 7 back home
anywayz
hey are you in Jamaica? I dj'd there a few years ago in Ocho Rios - Hedo and some villa party (that lasted like 2 or 3 days)
good times
I miss that place

i really don't get the point......
any information about an artist/song/LP can only trigger my interest (or disinterest) in "exploring" the talked about thing. So, if there is the !rumour! about a 19yrs old boy from england who uses Soundforge for his outstanding tracks and who prefers to be totally incognito, than it triggers my interest. Therefore i listen to his music and bang!........i'm alone at "exploring" the sound. From this moment nothing than the music and me is responsible for me liking the sound or not. We can go on and talk about cognition of music and the processes which are responsible for our preferences (history of hearing habits) and such, but it's all in the books.
It's interesting to talk to people why they like/dislike songs, etc. and it's also interesting to get info about a concept, special event, anectdote of a specific artist/song/etc, but this has no influence on me feeling/liking the thing.......
so, i can't help you.

Of course its Burial - Untrue. Most creative, unique, yet accessible album I've heard in years. People who mention Boxcutter are too hung up on IDM. Even if he does cross it with dubstep fairly well, it's still too much "anal laptoppery".
Here are some honorable mentions though:
Pepe Deluxé – Spare Time Machine
Secede – Vega Libre
Onra & Quetzal - Tribute
Quince – En.vi.sion
Reggie B - Go
