That wasn't my point.
My point was 'Niceness' is superficial.

You did that?

Well, you know brainwashing when they take out the theory of evolution and put in some more religion as a replacement in the biology lessons, don't you?

(not happened in Denmark, we're mainly atheistic, but in the USA in some states apparently.. THAT is crazy)

even though i think religion should be ruled out from schools completely, it should NOT be able to exist without co-existing with darwin and evolution theories at least.

anywhere.
in this thread, USA.

I just think it's foolish to find it ironic that the citizens are so nice while the state is so foul. what's nice got to do with it ? was SJ expecting roaring lunatics with flaming pitchforks ?

you are right. The world is superficial.. But i'm trying to change that :)
I know i'm pretty much alone, of course.
But whatver.. Its all about playing this "game", right?

But you know what, i've had it. So i decided NOT to play. I decided to express myself in different ways and express what i really mean and not what i know would impress others.

I'm myself and people can take it or leave it. Apparently some
can't cope with it, but i find some can. And thats a good sign :)

shouting DOWN WITH CUBASE
schools teach you that in australia?

edit: just read what i wrote above and again, i don't express myself really well with words :)

I'm sorry - I've read the following post three times and I still can't work out what point you're trying to make. It reads like somebody desperately trying to scrape an argument together out of fuck all.

b0unce wrote: in a thread called 'police state' You're quoting a guy answering the question "what's the solution then?" , with "more war brother, more war" ...and as a sidenote to that statement he states his confusion that the americans he's met were 'nice'. that alludes to something wouldn't you say. irony that in a war loving country he's meeting nothing but 'nice' people. and you continue with "it's a rough time to be an american, we're nice but naive"

go ahead and convince me you were speaking arbitrarily & OT.
until then I stick to my conclusion that you are a FOOL for bandying the word 'nice' about as if it means something in this context.

b0unce - Never Knowingly Coherent.

That's quite true.

In my experience Americans are really generally very kind and generous people who are willing to give a stranger a break. Contrast this with the general attitude of the French, say, who are much more difficult to get to know. It's just puzzling when you look at the foreign policy of the two countries.

Anyone seen the movie "Zeitgiest" ?? Warning, it's about 2 hours long. And if your a hardcore conservative/religious nut it's all gonna go in one ear and out the other.

Check it out here

But for those with an open mind seeking truth, it's a good watch. Mind you I used to be a US Marine, so it was difficult to watch myself. But take it from someone who's been to Iraq several times, theres alot of shady stuff going on out there.

Sorry for going Off-Topic, my lil rant is over. Btw, that police state video was a bit rediculous. The nazi propaganda was a bit much. And the police have to take precautions not to seriously harm anyone or they face serious charges.

Alas, the US Constitution gets weaker every day it seems. And check out the Patriot act, if our forefathers could see us now :(

There is quite a substantial thread buried deep in this forum about this movie,, maybe dig it up and add your thoughts,,
However,,
I for one, and i'm sure there are a few others, would be very interested to hear what you have to say about your time in Iraq if your into sharing,,
We have another guy on the board that is in Afghanistan right now with the Canadians,, his name is Breq,, he also has quite a substantial thread working here where he updates what is going on where he is to a greater or lesser degree.
There are quite a few people on the forum that sit in all parts of the topic,, some very much against the occupation,, some very much for it,, some that feel we should pull out now and others that feel that we are there now so we might as well finnish the job,, It would be very cool to get the perspective of some one that has actually served there,, but like i said,, only if your into sharing,,

Cheers,,
and welcome to the board,,
