I shot these out two days ago because of this thread. I hadn't heard the A7 yet. The A7 sounded cool, without a doubt. We put it against the Dynaudio BM6a as well. The ribbon tweeter on the ADAMS really give you a sizzlingly clear top end. But the Dyn's seemed to have more "together sounding" upper mids. The ribbon tweeters are amazing, but they do seem to slice the consistency of the sound as a whole.Tone Deft wrote:what about Genelec 8020/8030 vs. the Adam A7?
I'm not dissing here. I think the ADAMS are special and I'm sure they're great to own.
I put on the Genelec 8030a after those and I was sold again. From the deep lows all the way up to the top, they just sound complete and unified. I'm putting my order in for a white pair today!
