hehe, when did you realise it was stupid ?
It is patently obvious what the test is like from the first page. It was worth doing if only to prove to yourself that you're slow to realise when something is a waste of time.

excellent documentary, although I felt somewhat impotent by the end... the caveat in looking closely at the workings of the corporation is that it seems insurmountable or unbeatable, certainly without radical change.... in that respect I'd be afraid that it might promote defeatism in some viewers.... I dunno, what do you think ?
I realised from the start but my curiosity made me do it

it's killed cats and wasted my time

Mine is just like this one, one square to the left.
If there was a neutral option it would probably be even more left/south.

Hm, you are all more extreme than I as it seems, but then again, it will all change tomorrow (or with other questions and more frank answers).

I just did the test again, this time giving all questions the opposite answer (as far as I could remember), and yes the outcome was about the opposite on the graph (still relatively close to the center, but I never used "strongly" answers).

Okay, this should link to it.http://www.politicalcompass.org/faceboo ... &soc=-2.87

I'm in the lavender quadrant. Just as I though I'd be. Although, I feel I'm really closer to libertarian that the graph shows. I must say that some of the questions premises I simply don't accept. That is how the test is skewed. The questions are set on false premises. How am I to answer that? And a neutral option would be nice. Quite frankly the test is poorly written. But it gives us some means of comparison.

i wish i had the time to really discuss this in as much depth as i want because its interesting and very important..

personally i didnt feel particularly impotent as i think there was a lot of interesting material that showed that change is possible and is being brought into effect by many people around the world.

fundamentally the religion of capitalism isnt insurmountable because as we experience it today it is not sustainable so it either changes or collapses. (of course its a continual process so there isnt a single point where we can really measure what state we are in..kind of like the heisenberg uncertainty principle but in the socio-economic realm)...yeah..anyway...

overall it reminded me to be careful in how i live my life to make sure i make decisions that dont have a negative impact. its easy to just not think about how you go about your daily life, which products you buy, where you buy them from, how much of an effect i as an individual have on the world..

in some ways im glad that i no longer live in the uk because when you live in london (for example, but any city is the same) its very hard not to just buy all your stuff from tesco and succumb to the 'i need to buy stuff to be happy' mentality.

thats enough for now...

Yeah... so it doesnt have any impact if youre making *right* decisions.

There is no right life in a wrong society.

In a capitalistic system it doesnt matter if you buy stuff from tesco or from the organic grocer around the corner because the money will reproduce the capitalistic system.

Oh yeah, i was far down left in the green corner

I dont think thats strictly true as its not entirely about the money and i dont believe that money in itself is the problem or necessarily re-inforces it, money is just a token to represent the value of something else.

If the organic grocer doesnt use chemical pesticides then thats a positive effect of transferring my money from tesco to them.

The other positive is the health benefits for me and also enjoying the taste of food for a change.

i think to consider any financial transaction as a re-inforcement of capitalism is paralysing and takes us nowhere.

i would love there not to be capitalism, my personal beliefs are more anarcho-syndicalist, but to ignore the opportunity of making a small difference will lessen the chances of a large change occuring.

QUICK EDIT. perhaps i should have phrased my comment as 'trying to make decisions which reduce any negative impact and try to make a positive impact'. I realise that there is a definite 'cost' involved in whichever choice you take in society.
