I would not be surprised if the Bush administration pays these people to blame the government for 9/11. It keeps everyones eyes on things they can do nothing about and away from things that matter like the war, healthcare, the economy, unemployment, and erosion of our civil liberties. Worry about things you can do something about!

Damn, I've been hearing about pending lawsuits, people with "information", and informants coming forward since Sept 12, 2001. Put up or shut up. If this guy has hardcore information, we should be seeing some court action, judicial conspiracies notwithstanding. If he pulls some shit about how he had all this hardcore evidence but they broke in and stole it, I'm calling bullshit. If you have hardcore evidence that the administration was behind 9/11, you don't keep the only copy in your little office filing cabinet!!

i think you have a point there. i get frustrated by the lack of action. i completely believe that the govt are corrupt as hell but it's kinda got to the point where people like us want something to happen, it just feels so futile.

I was at home the night Bush was elected a second time, I heard a crowd outside so I looked. people were walking down the middle of the street, not really making any sounds, it looked like Night Of The Living Dead. I was bummed so I started walking. eventually it ended it a rally with cops and banners and the like. absolute shellshock. people were furious and helpless.

silverlulu - you mentioned leaving CDs of Zeitgeist on public transportation. what did you write on them to get people to watch them? I've been mulling that one over and want to do it when I travel (in SF it's a waste, people no what's up.)

Why would you expend so much energy spreading around a "documentary" that doesn't stand up to scrutiny, and offers no real solutions?

Tones..
I agree with this, I like the whole idea of the viral passing on of information and ideas such as using CD's and DVD's left on public transport. another similar method is to insert well written essays with references to other sources into magazines at news stands or into books in Libraries or book shops, i had a friend that used to do this for various courses, and the English artist Banksy did some thing along the same lines with the Paris Hilton CD, although that stunt kinda failed in my mind as it didn't seem to have much point beyond making fun of Paris Hilton.

In my opinion that to use the Z movie fails on two fronts, the first is that most of the people that would bother with it have probably seen it already, secondly it is way to provocative and so would turn those that haven't seen it off inside the first few minutes. If i had the time i would go about this by putting together some kind of montage of articles with images and some cool but not to cliquey sound track,, some thing a little edgy but not some thing that would put the James Blunt/Lenny Kravits fans off,, Keep it short and also be very careful not to imply guilt or paranoia on the part of the person watching.. while at the same time present all of the doors that some one could walk through to find out more if they want to.. Kinda-sorta a Youtube video...

The Z movie really is very very silly, even if it has gotten some people up off their asses to think some more its not as though any of this thought is very creative or offers any solutions, it really only ever seems to me that most of these people have missed the point and instead see it as a reason to continue not learning about the aspects of their culture, society and government that are pissing them off. The movie asks all of these very common questions and then gives what seem to be definitive answers. This is where the problem starts as it doesn't encourage you to go out and do your own home work. instead those that watch it and take it seriously only get more angry at these things they think are real when in my opinion they are only really getting angry at there own silliness..

hold up, wait a minute.

you're taking me way too seriously. I got into and out of Zeitgeist when it was first posted here (seems like it was the first time.)

I simply and only kept wondering what Lulu's friend wrote on the CDs to get people to watch them.

should I do something like that it probably wouldn't be Zeitgeist, but it's the gist of the type of stuff to spread around.

that Paris stunt was great, www.woostercollective.com is where I caught it.

ethios - lose the jesus baggage, he makes you snarky. besides, there is but one god who name is allah, or allan, or something.

I know  ...
I realized that as soon as i posted and read it...
My head is made of cabbage right now as i am writing a report for work on the development of regional cuisine in three diverse and different cultures.
I'm writing about Bradford in the Uk, New Orleans in the US and also Sichuan in China..
I'm supposed to keep each report under 500 words, i have a real affinity to all three of these places and so want to convince every one that i think is going to read it, including my lecturer, that these places are "Fuckin awesome!!!" and so editing it down to the required number of words feels a little like i'm hacking my babies to pieces with a pen and errasor...

the kind of things my mate would write on the dvds was

"free dvd, please take this, watch it and pass it on"

that kinda thing.

maybe it is a waste of time, maybe not. i don't know (no). i just think that the new world order is a problem and our generation needs to be aware of it. if i don't do any good then i would have wasted a bunch of copied dvds and a few hours making them. the amount of time i waste doing other shit really doesn't compare.

i don't feel like i need to defend my choice to do that. if you don't believe it's message, thinks it's childish, think it's futile etc... then that's all good. i'm not gonna stop cos you guys have issues with it.

i am not an activist, in fact i am an inactivist lazy bastard, but i do like the documentary, i like what it's getting at and i want more people to see it.

It's a great idea, I just don't think Z is a worthy piece of work. Didn't mean to come off as discouraging of the idea itself.
