I can't get this to work on my mac. I followed it to the letter, but still no joy.

Live doesn't show my nocturn under preferences..

can someone help me wut do i need to do so that i can automap ableton plugins.

please message me or something im so lost.

i have but i just want to controll the normal ableton plugins thats it im using live 7Le i hope that dosent matter.

i cant find where to put that file im on a mac.

This is my first post so if anyone can help me that would be great.

I have downloaded the mappings for the Nocturn from DJSynchro but can't get them to work.

In the 'read me' file it states pick 'Nocturn' from the list and set input/output to AutoMap Midi.

The input/output option is there to select automap midi in the midi section of 'Preferences'. However, simply put, 'Nocturn' is not available for selection as a control surface from that list and from what I can see the word 'Nocturn' isn't referenced in the config file so how do I get Nocturn to populate the control surface list?

Any help would be gratefully received.

I may need to upgrade - think I'm on 7.0.7 and using a PC with Windows XP if that helps. Also, I have upgraded to Automap 3 but only the standard version and not the Pro.

Got an answer from Ableton - within the User Remote Script folder you have to creat another folder called 'Nocturn'.

It will then appear in the list to select along with the AUtomap Midi input output settings.

Cheers to Jorg at Ableton for sorting that out.

Still struggling with this.

Simply not owrking - everything looks fine but I'm getting nowhere.

My nocturn does not work with these mappings.

Can anyone help?


1. Nocturn is now available and is selected along with AutoMap Midi as input and output
2. Channel 16 is made available in the Nocturn controller and the config file is set to 15 (15=16 in the way the config file works)
3. Remote for input and output is set to 'On'.
4. Input and Output on the Automap Server 3 is Automap Midi for both selections
5. I have loaded the mapping file from DJSynchro
6. I have locked a macro control to the nocturn and...

Nothing.

Nothing happens.

I am missing something obvious? I can't even see the midi information light flashing on the top bar of ableton.

is the config file INSIDE the "Nocturn" directory you created?

Oh yes. It's there. Its weird. I even have the midi light going on and off in top bar now - I click track 'On' so the automap is sending data to ableton.

I have the auto filter up in front of me;

1. Channel 16 is active
2. Your mapping file has been loaded and I have you mapping on the nocturn i.e. Param 1 which is linked to CC 0
3. The Config file definitely pointing Encoder 1 to CC 0
4. Auto filter encoder 1 is linked to the frequency
5. So why can't isn't Param 1 linking to the frequency in auto filter.

I would seriously love to get this working.

The instant mapping looks genius - I'm just stumped!
