He's one of the masters. Will check out the box set. Just got King Tubby meets Rockers. Sweet!

Referring to vintage Jamaican Reggae & Dub recording techniques:

PS: Did you ever read the Mixerman Diaries where he describes putting special labels onto gear that wasn't even patched into the signal path just to keep some pushy studio exec from changing the sound? Too funny. The exec actually thought he was making all these improvements!

i will def try to check out your tracks....check out mine as well.....Times One More.....Trypset Remix on myspace.com/trypset.
i actually do mean racks though....like send racks, delay racks, reverb chains.....anything that can be used for classic dub stylee vibes.

The 'Mixerman Diaries' are hilarious. They are an account of a top mixer working with a famous producer on a major label release from a very dysfunctional band, & all the nonsense that goes with such a project. It's a bit of 'Spinal Tap' for recording studio dwellers. There is nothing like human error to mess up every possible plan or system, no matter how carefully worked out.
