Ok, it looks like he's progressive trance and has a bad logo. Sold a lot of records though and has made some real ca$h.

I say fuck it. I don't even know anyone that owns CDJ's. Do they expect you to buy your own CDJ setup or will the club provide? My rule of thumb is to try and play with as little club equipment as possible.

This whole thing sounds like t sucks. I'd take a pass man. This guy may have sold a lot of beatport mp3's but he's a dick and well, you are supporting him... you may want to reconsider altogether...

Yeah, this guy sounds like a total dick. I've heard a lot of strange requests from management types though... oftentimes the artist has no idea. This case is odd though because a manager wouldn't make that type of a demand on his own. I'm sure deadmau5 told him to do this because let's face it, nobody looks cool with CDJ's...

Plenty of scope for some dirty badass electro house @ 125.99 :)

one man's 128 bpm is another man's 64 bpm.

I personally would take this as a perfect opportunity to rock some custom-made max/msp patches while writing pd code in real time.

+1000 on the not booking.. had a bunch of our partygoers asking about booking him.. so we went forward inquiring about availability/etc.. to see if it was possible. spent 2 weeks waiting for a reply of any kind. it's been over a month now, and still not even a single reply..

figured scoring a gig inside his home province wouldn't be an issue.. but clearly he has many (issues)

Did not know who he was, nor what music he makes.
What i discovered now, is that he is a DJ from sesame street?

What a gimmick.

I am getting to old for this game...
Is this how it works these days??... put on a silly mask to gain a audience?

Well topic starter.... i know the solution.... steel his mask, and and play with your Ableton set....... the audience will applaud you!
