Stuff I've sold:

Roland Juno D - Dont miss it. Glad I sold it.
Replaced the sounds with Sampletank.

AKAI MPD32 - Dont miss it.
Beats can be done on keys, and endless rotaries fucking suck.
If I did have to use pads for beats, I prefer the pads on the PadKontrol, or even the smaller AKAI pads on the MPK.

M-Audio Radium 49 - Piece of shit.

Evolution UC33e - I'll probably pick another up some time. Great controller.

MBox Pro - Miss it sometimes. Very nice, powerful and versitile bit of kit. Replaced by the less versatile Apogee Duet, for its superior mic-pres and converters.

M-Audio Axiom 49 - Dont regret selling it.
Dont miss it but was a fracking good keyboard. I liked the action on the keys. A really good compromise between synth and piano keys IMO.

Alesis Ion - Dont miss it. Glad I sold it.
Piece of shit. The keys were so thin they had sharp edges. The cold digital sound did nothing for me.

Clavia Nord Lead II - Dont regret selling it.
Didn't care for it much. Was fun but the sound was mediocre (IMO)

Novation K-Station - Dont regret selling it.
Miss it for messing with, and also for controlling V-Station. Very fun synth. Much more fun and inspirational than the Nord Lead or Alesis Ion IMO.
If V-Station sounded like Sylenth I would have never sold it.

Roland Fantom X6 - Dont miss it. Dont regret selling it.
Absolute beast of a machine but not suited to my workflow. The drum pads were pretty nice. The overall build quality is very impressive.

Just sold my RE-201 Space Echo. I think I'll be ok.

I do regret every single guitar pedal I've ever sold, though. Wish I would have kept every amp and guitar, too. And saxophones. And mouthpieces. Fuck.

I've sold lots of things over the years, but I can only think of five things that I really regret selling:

a '76 Ibanez Korina V- maybe my favorite guitar ever to play blues with. Traded it for something I can't remember with a Floyd Rose- it was the hair metal days of the early '80s. Ouch.

a '65 Rickenbacker 360/12- one of the WBBS models (bound on both sides). Sold that to pay for a move to LA to join a band- the band imploded within two months

a '78 BC Rich Mockingbird made of Koa- I traded it for a Marshall 4x12 and a Roland pitch/MIDI converter. Should have kept the guitar...

an Oberheim Two-Voice- #18. Complete with a funky joystick mod. I sold that and the following one to make some bills one time. And, even though I made a 400% profit on the sale, it still sucks...

I just sold about 2K worth of dust gathering gear on eBay in the last few weeks (Handsonic HPD-10, a beautiful Deluxe Players Strat, Roland MC-808 beatbox, etc). I am not looking back, because I used the cash to buy my first copy of Ableton Live, along with some other supporting hardware and software. No regrets.

I decided to sell some gear this weekend. In addition to my CDJ's/mixer setup, decided to get rid of the ER-1 and the SR-16. They've been gathering dust since I bought the MPC. I'm also selling the CZ-101. It's fun, but I'm not really using it either.

Will i regret it? Time will tell, but for now the extra money is nice

So I should keep my first name-brand guitar? It's a mid-70's Fender Strat:

• 3-bolt neck [yuck]
  rosewood board [yuck]
  board has a hump and needs a little shaving
  frets worn
  pickguard chopped near bridge to make room for synth pickups over the years
  routed for an imitation Kahler bridge
  still wearing the fake Kahler bridge since ca. 1983-5
  nitro finish nice and gummed up by years of sweat and lots of duct tape, velcro tape, stickers, and god only knows what else
  body heaviest of any Strat I've held [might be solid maple, for all I know]
  did I mention 3-bolt neck?

The main reason I keep it is sentiment, but also because I doubt anyone else would want it.

maybe i regret often for a second, sometimes a minute. but it always comes back to the reason that was fixed.

Gave away a guitar to my more or less older brother. I am a little disappointed that he did not get farther along with it than he has, particularly since I liked it. But every time I think about it I know I will eventually replace it with a Martin at some point. Call it synthetic karma. I eat that shit for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Just sold my first midi controller (sl 25 novation remote). I still have a boner. I can't be happier about getting rid of anything. Fuck those "massive" lcds. If I want "massive" lcds, I will buy an additional monitor and write up a patch in max for some dedicated feedback.

On that note, I am really stoked about selling most of my hardware. I am officially going 100% digital, and only keeping my microkontrol (because I still find it sexy, broken slider and all, after all of these years.) Can't wait to unload my Tascam Fw1884, BCF2000, Yamaha Jazz custom drum set, sm57's, beta52, or studio project condenser mic's. Too bad craigslist seems so slow to sell market these things in the current economy.

My goal is to eventually phase everything out but max and live. Only use CV, sensors and custom GUI's for making music. And, eventually have a nice Martin by my side when I need it. I should probably sell the 97 American Strat as well.
