My favorite comedians,

George Carlin

Old Eddie Murphy (when he was younger he was really funny. Great impersonator. Also good at wisecracking. Delirious, Raw are his famous standups but he has some tapes/CDs of old standups he did when he used to tour.)

Chris Rock

Redd Foxx

Richard Pryor

Sinbad (I give this guy a lot of credit because he can stay on the relatively clean side and still be very funny. An underrated comedian.)

Ellen Degeneres

Bernie Mac

does any1 know an american comic... who has really dry stupid humour, but funny... and everytime he cracks a joke..he giggles deleriously to himself.

its all an act, but infectious. i rememeber him from years ago when i lived in the states, but cant recall his name

that 'giggles to himself' guy , god I hate him nearly as much as he hates himself.

Give me old "paedo-beard" Boyle any day over that phoney crap.

How about Harland Williams? IMO he's been one of the funniest comedians out there. Especially his guest appearances on Late Night With Conan O'Brien are always a riot.

While I am not familiar with Derek & Clive, I do love the original "Bedazzled" with Dudley Moore and Peter Cook. Remember: the devil always wears red socks!

Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band

'Gorilla' 1967
'The Doughnut In Granny's Greenhouse' 1968
'Tadpoles' 1969
'Keynsham' 1969
'Let's Make Up And Be Friendly' 1972

The first three albums are incredible! Inspired British lunacy.
