Ah, for one thing some keys will retrigger when hit once. It is kind of unpredictable but it's usually restricted to a certain octave, so can at times be mitigated against. The other issues are that the button for selecting patch bank 1 is almost impossible to trigger, which isn't a big deal, and the LFO trigger button has the same issue. The main thing though is that retrigger issue which makes playing it frustrating at times.

So after too many years and too much gear, I'm stripped right back. No external synths, no preamps, nada. Just a computer, a duet2, some adams and my brain.
Prepare for the rebound..... this time next year my studio will be packed full of synths!

Loving the chair. Stripping back is just dandy that really all you need to make music. I've got loads of things becuse that how I like to work. VSTs aren't better or worse just different.

I do like my knobs though

Ok, now that I've read through the whole thread I feel it's time to post some pictures of my humble studio. Oh, there is a bed in there, too.

Gearlist:
Macbook Pro 13,3" Early 2011
NI Maschine
Ableton Live 8
KRK RP6 RoKit G2
Echo AudioFire 4
Akai LPK25
Allen&Heath Xone:22
NI Kontrol X1
Sennheiser HD 555
Logitech Perfomance MX

Not in my new room because it's too small:
Novation Remote Zero SL Mk1 (the Mackie Control Emulation template on the Maschine makes up for the automapping, though.)
Teufel Subwoofer

I'm in the process of making a huge template that combines Maschine (standalone) and Live in a very nice workflow.
Individual Maschine Outputs are routed through Live where I can properly sidechain (which is currently not really possible in Maschine) and process my drums even further.
Even further, a special Maschine group outputs MIDI notes to Live, where a intelligent MIDI rack maps the 16 pads to chords that stay in the key I choose. These chords are easily routed back into a different Maschine group if I want to, where I can bang on the pads to get some nice chord progressions.
The Kontrol X1 controls glowbal effects in Live like white noise, which in combination with the Xone:22 mixer (love that filter) allows me to live-record parts of my arrangement or resample on the fly. With the mixer, I also have a transparent hardware way to control the volume of my monitors or to cue with my headphones.
It got kinda complicated, and it's not fully finished yet. But it already is a very nice workflow with little usage of the mouse, even if the magic happens in the software. If I ever get the money, I will buy a Moog Little Phatty I think :)
