So you're saying if I must spend 5k on a Moog, I must spend another 5k on cables, and possibly a few hundred on a furry animal to act as a bass trap?

yes, for 5k, you'd get about 3 feet of audiophile grade oxygen free cabling lol
and don't be cheap on the furry animal, at leat a few thousands
