our updated VOLT live and studio setup :
we have synthesizers that are still not set up,
this is an "under construction studio", but the whole stuff on this table is the actual live setup (just don't count the jomox resonator in, it's only for studio use)
by the way, we're releasing our first EP (both 12" vinyle and digital formats) this december,
mastered by tarekith at inner portal studio
check our soundcloud in my signature
cheers

What a nice setup you got there!
How do you like Tempest? I heard the software wasn't really finished upon release, has it improved?

Tempest is probably the best thing I ever bought.
That said I really needed to scratch the analogue drum machine itch.
I thought about getting a Machinedrum first. If I would have I would be thinking maybe Tempest sounds more of what I wanted because it's analogue. In other words I needed to experience the difference, first.
However, I would probably be equally satisfied with a Machinedrum, now that I know.
Programming drum sounds can be tricky.
The best part about Tempest for me is that I spent a lot of time making 1 custom DrumRack, and using the APC40 through Bomes to control the rack.
Tempest is like having all of that in it's own little box.
Super easy to use, ultra performance friendly.
ALSO, Tempest makes for a killer polysynth. In my drumRack I would have a couple Operators for creating sounds. But as everyone knows, you have no parameter store and recall on Ableton devices. So if you want a flexible variety of sounds "for performing," coming from one instance of Operator, your kinda screwed. Tempest makes this idea stupid simple.
Over at the DSI forums in the Tips and Trick thread for Tempest you will see a long list of things that have been updated, and cool things the Tempest does.
They have addressed many of the things that were not available upon it's release.
They also offer beta OS updates of the latest fixes and features.
The rub comes from wanting to independently run each voice through Ableton Live. Gonna have to drop some coin on a new audio interface, and those kind of toys arent cheap, and they are kind of in a holding pattern over USB 3 or Thunderbolt etc.

It might not strain the neck as much if your program windows aren't filling up the whole screen. and with a monitor that big, they wouldn't need to. I see a laptop too. Maybe he lives in a small space and the larger monitor doubles as a tv.
