Hello dear mots.

I know maybe you're tired of receiving quesitons about it but... I really need this so, here it goes:
Is there ever gonna be Launchpad Pro support? I'm willing to work on this but really don't know how...

Hi,

yes you are right, you are not the first one to ask me about it

so here is the status :
- i got a launchpad pro
- i have been busy with work and relocating over the past few months
- i got the scales and device controller to work on the Launchpad Pro (with a bunch of bugs okay...)

left to do :
- step sequencers
- tons of bugs to iron out.

i will resume working on it in the coming weeks, and will put up a GitHub repo for it.

i am _more_ than welcoming help on that one !
Hit me up at hdavid at mail dot com and i will include you as submitter on that repo once i get it in a not so shameful state

most, if not all the users that contacted me, got it working in the end. most of the time by getting the last version from my site.
i also tested myself and it worked just fine.

Big update !

i did a major clean up the code for Launchpad95 :
- i introduced some compatibility for Launchpad MK2 RGB. but this totally untested as i dont have a MK2 myself. help more than welcome !
- better skinning.

this still very buggy, but it provides already a better device mode and an improved note mode.
the step sequencer code is there also but totally buggy.
don't bother reporting bugs, i am aware of them, what would help more it people joining the project

You are doing an amazing work. I've been wanting to get an APC40 mkII, but with a Launchpad Pro running Launchpad95, so many things to be done...

Have you been considering fixed length recording, same as on the Push?

This is stupidly fussy, I know:

I've been midi mapping certain clips to the 8th column of launchpad buttons in session mode so that I have constant access to these clips as I move around my set.

However, now I obviously run into the problem of Ableton still moving 8 columns to the right as oppose to the 7 that I have only now left myself when I hold down the session button to move.

I was wondering whether there is a way I could change it to a 7 column matrix?


As a side note: Maybe it would be cool if you create a feature that locks chosen clips to their current buttons in session mode, but I don't know really - that's up to you of course.

In Drum Step Sequencer Mode the 16 drum pads are used to select the view of each pad's step sequence. They do not add notes to the sequence or trigger the sound of the pad. It works the same as pressing "select" on Ableton Push. Is there a way to disable that "select" functionality on Launchpad95 so that the 16 drum pads do trigger the sound and add a note to its step sequence?

Basically, I'm asking if there's a way to enable real time and step time sequencing simultaneously within Drum Step Sequencer Mode.

to be totally honest i am kind of done in terms of adding features to these scripts.
if people want to contribute, feel free to submit pull request on the repo and i will have a look at them.

for now i would like to get launchpad 95 pro somewhat working.

that involves reading the manual.
yes there is a button for that. if you dont want to read the manual.you can try all the scenes buttons one after the other

holding scene button 7 while playing drum pads (aka One Handed Finger Drumming Mode) is not exactly what I am talking about but it'll work. thanks

trigger sound and add a note in the clip at the same time, no. sorry. this is a bit specific...
and that would be annoying after sometime. like this monitor button in the clip edit
