hmm, when mine is connected the two displays shows "Maschine" and the other shows "Start maschine software or press shift+control for midi"

all the buttons/ pads are turned of though.
right,

Maschine is just always begging you to play with her, tweak her... so you can't forget her (her?? in france a "machine" is a female word)

she just says:

TWEAK ME !!

hey supermonsta you've got an ultralite right, are you able to sample from whatever is playing on your computer with maschine without having to use a third party app,? like can maschine just monitor whats going through your soundcard and sample it?

I just picked one up this weekend and had the same issue with the raised faceplate. Was gonna return it but I just put a little crazy glue under it and it did the trick. Although admittedly, I still want to take it back just cause I am OCD like that and it still bothers me. :cry:

Having fun with it so far but cannot for the life of me get it to work in pluggin mode. More specifically, I can't record direct to a track. I do everything I've read on boards and watched all the tutorial vids and it just doesn't work. So for me I think it's a fun little stand alone machine but I still find myself going into Live and just using it as a controller, albeit a more expensive one that needed to be crazy glued.

Honey, I woulsd have to admit that this is an important piece that i already scared myself with Goblin and Frizzio what'as hiS NAMWE COLLab; Fabio Frizzii? He's A Goodman, but he canin't hand wit Goblim, maybe Carpendter.

I like it, but i want better loop controlloop tricks, esoecialy for longer than 2 loops. Best of both worlds, take a Acid/ABleton loop handling wrinkle (does not have to have "time stretch' being able to tune it to tempo,1992 style like my EMAX Is exceptable.''''

Hey but drunknandwhatnw, bt onthe realy.. once I done broughtnthem snit in to masxhine, I, locked at the tempo of the original sample, no playinga around, period?

This has to be the biggest eroblem yes....butn not yet to conceeed its isdurrmountalbe, especially in hall gonna pkug mre,;

peciifically, howcan Ishift y looos up or tweo== a range of a fe bpm, and can I then fine tune within a seminoter, then once have than note, can out it in the chopper propper for thw\e NC27 extrss

erious answeras only

you got to enable something like "stuff to computer" in the motu cuemix console's upper menus,

then, in live inputs 11-12 are the soundcard main out.

in maschine I didn't try, but it should work too, just have to find what is this 11-12 output in maschine audio input prefs...

hope I'm clear :| :mrgreen:

uhh, that's what happens when you chew up an ambien and it kicks in all at once. I honestly thought I didn't really post this at first, then I remembered (sort of)

Anyway, I'm basically asking how do you repitch your loops/samples in Maschine? I know there's no time-stretch or anything fancy, I'm just talking about speeding up/slowing down like you would on a turntable (or Live's repitch).

Or is it really that you're required to bring it in to Maschine at the exact tempo you want? That doesn't seem right.

Thanks,

:lol: anyway, that was a fun reading...

for your (now understandable) question, did you try the pitch button in the sample window?? I know it's not really accurate...

the way seems to "slice and apply" your loops to either multisound or groups...

or wait for the timestretch update..

cheers mate

and thanks again for the supafunlol

I have a question about auditioning drum samples which I cannot get an answer for from any vid..

say I have a MIDI pattern running and I want to change a drum sample;
can I just scroll through a list of samples and immediately hear the sample in place once it gets selected, without the need to actually confirm/load the sample?

yes and no,

you can't hear the sample when you use the scroll function via the knob (that is just to bring you fast to a section, let's say all contra bass samples)

but then when you use the sample 'up' / 'down' buttons you hear the sample automatically, basically using those always loads the sample immediately.

thanks..

so it's not a 'audition in place' but more a 'immediately load in place without the need to press return to confirm' kind of thing..
auditioning would be nicer but its already better than how Live handles this..
I'm getting convinced.. :D
