^^^ it's a sexy minimalistic designed place, one of the owners is an architect. it is a picture of part of the interior they turn and modify into flyers...

sound for being a DJ-bar (with a club attitude!!!) is not shabby either and they are about to improve that...

thanks everyone for coming!, even it kicked off berlin style super late for a thursday (considering it is only a 'DJ bar', well with a club attitude, though... )

but after a bumpy first 20 minutes plus one big crazy f*ck up in the beginning of the set , it ended up being a total blast and a set from hell and i am happy that everyone had so much fun... and danced like crazy in the end

looking forward to meet some ableton forumites in prague or bratislava next weekend...

In a few days I am going to visit Berlin for the first time.

What do you think I need to know or to see?

Schneider's büro is already on my list and I am in shopping mood.

Are there other interesting shops? What about second-hand shops?

What are the must-have-seen venues or places?

If you're here in Berlin next Wednesday, come along and meet us in person

Schneider's Büro is good, but really stands alone in this respect, can't think of any similar geeky audio shops to visit... Berlin is a bit rubbish like that... it's surprising considering how big the music scene is here, but maybe everyone's just skint...

As for the rest, loads on offer, depends what you're into really... even the standard tourist-route historic stuff is definitely worth seeing.

there is a party at morlox (free entry) off revaler str. in friedrichshain on the 27th, called tin pot, eggnchips from the forum is organising it.
i will play there (DJ-ing) next to some english DJs house and tech house, techno.

hi folks,

finally after the long break over the year change another ALUGB meeting is in front of us, we will meet on the 24th of february at raumklang, kopernikus str. ecke libauer str., friedrichshain, berlin, from 19h.

we will have another little M4L showcase and a young berlin based experiemental label will present itself, looking for new artists, so come along…

and as ususal we will have our 'open' stage, so please prepare some smaller live set and bring your laptops and soundcards / controllers, etc. remember no professionalismn is requiered, the open stage is open for everyone, who likes to perform on an incredibly good club soundsystem and in front of other ableton users or performers to receive maybe some feedback and to gain some experience. remember the open stage is primarily adressed towards newcomers, but also for experienced performers, come on in and dare to play and have some fun!!!

p.s. people who like to play / perform, i urge to sent me a little confirmation to [email protected] beforehand and to arrive as early as possible, that helps me making it easier to organise the little 'line up' for the evening. THANKS!

i hope it is needless to say that the main aim of the meetings is the community building of like minded ableton users and generally in music / audio interested people, so join in and meet and talk to other folks, exchange tips and tricks, help each other out with problems you might entcounter and genrally have a jolly good time over a beer simply meeting each other.

hey man if you´re there over the weekend it would be cool if you could come to my concert on sunday, there´s usually a bunch of other abletoners there. the place is soupanova, stargarder str. 24, concert starts about 9. its a cool place to chill on a sunday evening.

well come at least to the morlox club on sat, the tin pot parties are always a hell lot of fun and it's free entry.

I guess I missed something there, you´re coming after the concert, but still, I recommend you coming around on a sunday if you´re there, there´s always live music, mostly by ableton users.
