to edit samples on the go,
don't tell me there's no app for that?.............I thought they had an app for everything and if there is an app for that how does one get the samples into and out of the ipad?
What type of editing do you want to do?
all I want to do is slice samples and make loops, preferably on that big screen while i'm listening to selections from my crates, if I could sequence samples and loops that would be great but I don't want to do both in one program, I'm really just looking for an editor that I could edit samples with on the go or at home and the ipad looks like it would be ideal to just pick up and start editing, but then I'd need to get the samples into my puter .

@del, man that's alot of shit in that link you gave me thanks have you used that stuff and do you know which one is the best audio editor?

Here's a nice little feature, dunno if it's been mentioned before: drag and drop a PDF to the iPad in iTunes and then when you start the iBooks app on the iPad there's a new PDF switch at the top of the screen to browse your stored PDFs.

Ah, cool. I've been using Good Reader for PDFs, and it's been great. Allows you to connect to your cloud and download/view documents.

You can even email PDFs to your iPad and put them in iBooks . I installed the Abe manual on my iPad that way :D

Nice... cheers. Btw, after that software update I have precisely zero problems with my wifi connection - works perfectly now. Probably best first gen product I've used in a long time... :)

I just got Chopper 2 because it installs the same app on the iPhone but you can use the iPhone as a controller for the game being played on the iPad like it was a console controller.

Awesome. 8O

Once upon a time, every 3rd story at Gizmodo was about Apple. Usually cool news that focused again and again on how magical the company is....

Since the dust up over that iP4 prototype, we are now subjected to such awesome breaking news like:

NEW ANDROID WALLPAPER FEATURES YOUR FAVORITE SMURF CHARACTERS.

JANITOR IN NEW JERSEY BUYS A DROID PHONE AND LOVES IT

NEW DROID APP WILL HELP YOU SAVE MONEY AT THE GROCERY STORE

I wish Gizmodo would just kiss and make up, already.

I will admit that the advertising firm that does Droid came up with a good hook with the "Droid" robot voice.

Apple commercials sound like an advertisement for medication that would end with a fast talking 30 second list of possible adverse side effects that are worse than the ailment you are hoping to cure.

I used to read Giz. But I realized that they are actually a bunch of whiny immature thumb-suckers. To continue with your point, I decided to see what I could find on the front page. These 2 gems were there for the grabbing.

Do they think their readers are unaware of the complete 180 they have taken in regards to Apple and that it only looks like the saddest display of passive aggression? Butthurt much?

Maybe Gizmodo should take it a step further and redo their site so it's entirely flash based like NI and can't be viewed on iPhones or iPads and then post daily articles about how this is unacceptable. Maybe even have a daily ticker on the front page showing how many days their site hasn't been able to be viewed on Apple's portable devices.

I keep expecting there to be Gizmodo shirts that read WE USED TO LOVE APPLE UNTIL WE FUCKED THEM OVER.

Yeah, now I stick primarily to Engadget.com

Is there anything better than barebackin it with the iPad? I think not. Gotta say that I love the clean feeling of slick glass under my fingertips. It's as close as I'm gonna get to the magic rainbow unicorn that lives inside.

Makes me wonder if all the lovin' I've been showing the iPad has somehow pissed off my MacBook and that's why it's acting up? And as a result the magic unicorn inside the MacBook got pissed and flew back to Apple HQ?

Food for thought, really. Food for thought.
