Australia as a country has the population of LA county so comparisons are retarded at best.
not when you consider Canada and the point I just made...

anyway WTF are you talking about for personal protection??? against who, commies??? The point is you wouldnt need one if they weren't so widespread

BTW you just invoked the wrath of Godwins law.....

Godwin's law is hilarious... all too true.

Noisetonepause: On our subject of last night... it seems that the controversy is intensifying, with other European papers fanning the flames.

And I can't say that I blame them. A free press is such an essential cornerstone of free societies that I think it's probably right to "overstate" the point in this way. Backing down--issuing apologies all around--would seem like a giant step backward, IMO.

The POTUS made his warlike SOTU to use the acronyms - Bush's state of the Union address, to an audience of seal impersonators, included more threatening vernacular towards various states.

Totally concur with your sarcasm dude - not somewhere I'll be visiting on my hols.

Oh, I getcha. No, I gave it a miss. I actually spent the evening fooling around with Live! Ever notice how the Cameleon synth sucks the life out of a CPU?

I don't really buy in to the Bush-is-the-root-of-all-evil sentiment, but I must say I'm getting a little tired of looking at him.

Dunno bout the synth, the additive/morphing thingy?, but saw the new Camel FX a few weeks back in another studio and may be reaching for the wallet again...

Agreed - Bush ain't the root of all evil...merely a used car salesman. And still no sign of that 'official report' it seems...I'll keep lookin

I'm really curious about this one...

How does this work in reality? As a civilian have you pulled your gun on someone? Have you had a gun pulled on you? If people get in an altercation and they both pull guns do they call a truce and chill out? What if only one has a gun, goes he win the argument?

I don't trust most people to drive their cars, let alone handle a weapon.

Don't want to start a flame war, I'm totally for gun control, I think only cops need them and blah blah I'm on THAT side of the issue, I'm just curious how you see this work in reality.

Bonus points for short, succinct replies, thanks. :)

Yeah. It's got some great sounds, but it's a real hog.

Possibly true. Saddam Hussein did the opposite by active policy, as I'm informed, thus laying the foundation for the anarchy we're seeing now.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

You guys only want cops to have guns? Oh how surprising that a bunch of socialist's would want that! Yeah I trust the government and or cops to protect me. hahahaha. What a joke. Typical response. You want big daddy government/the nanny state to take care of you and I want to take care of and protect myself. If someone tries to carjack me, they won't get far. You on the other hand, would be shot and dying in the streets because you are waiting for the cops to save you.

I doubt any of you pro gun control fools have ever even shot a firearm or even understand how they work. I am not going to waste my time debating this issue with you since you all have already proven to know zilch about it with your asinine comments. Just because you yourself cannot fathom the thought of carrying a gun because you are an immature half man, does not mean that millions of people cannot do so responsibly every day.

I bet your girlfriends/wives feel really safe being with you knowing there is no way you can protect them if anything goes down.

Some of you come off like big sissies. Pro gun control?? hahaha. Pathetic.

Interesting how every few pages another conservative minded person will post and expose the rest of you for the fools you are yet you continue to keep the thread going all the while complaining about how long it is.

Why not just title the thread "idiot liberals only post here..no other opinions wanted".

So you are by some incredible stretch of the imagination saying that because Saddam allowed firearms in Iraq that we are seeing "anarchy" because of it?? Oh brother..talk about looney.

Have you any grasp on muslim culture at all? Firearms are part of their culture, to the point that if you do not have a rifle you are not considered a man. Take a look in Afghanistan, guns are central to the people's lives.

We might as well debate the entire concept of democracy and why America was founded in the first place since you are clearly against every ideal America was founded on. Yeah, we here in America sorta enjoy our rights that our forefathers died for. So take your socialist shit elsewhere.
