You are talking about the Berghain, right? I totally agree... don't want to see any footage of that club.
Some M4L videos would have been nice, though.

yeah, the venue is not really 'accepted' by berlin clubbers (yet), even they just recently re-designed and re-built a few things to the very better...
(it had a few design flaws, the room arrangement, in the past)
i like it, though... the soundsystem is just so brilliant it is a dream to play there. it is very hifi and still has that club oomph... the main room is totally de-couppled from the rest of the building (floating on 8000 steel springs) and the acoustic treatment is studio like. in my eyes it has by far the best club soundsystem in town, i don't like those 'shattering' rooms in many other berlin clubs, they have partly good systems (not many though... ) but the rooms itself sound shite... Tape Club is another great place to have some serious ear pleasure.

the F-Off was not aimed at you! i just like the attitude... be there or leave it. (just to clarify)
it is not just berghain that has this attitude... and sorry no, the main reason i do those ALUGB meetings is to exactly get away from the web, youtube and what not, it is all about being there and meeting people in flesh and blood.
it is not supposed to be for anyone else but the people who actually attend those meetings.

Actually i think your efforts deserve a little more people to show up. I'm looking forward to the meetings in summer with some barbecue action and outside chilling...

Hey guys,
Anybody want to DJ in a bar tonight?
I was supposed to play in my friends cool new Mexican bar on Skalitzerstr but can't do it.
They don't have decks so it would have to be a laptop set and the sound isn't too good either.
What you do get is a few euros, free beers and free Mexican food.
I usually play my favourite soul, disco, punk, funk rock n' roll classics there.
Let me know please if you're interested.

OK, it is official.
as long as ableton does not come up with a new reasonable working version of live i will stop all my activities, that includes a future 'ableton workshop center' i was working on in x-berg. and of course the ableton live user group meetings. i can't and want continue investing a hell lot of my private time and energy for the community and also in the end for the good of the company ableton, if i don't even have a version i can reasonable work with, not even speaking from doing workshops or presentations without embarrassment, headaches and unnecessary blood pressure.
i am sorry for the wonderful community we built over the past 1 1/2 years, maybe ableton get's their act together rather quickly, then i might continue, until then goodbye.
peace

clarification:
i think i wrote / expressed it a bit awkward, i just discontinue as long as i am not able to work with / and use ableton live 8
(the newest version including M4L) again in a normal manner, my previous text is not to be misunderstood as some hidden blackmailing or something.
again i am sorry for the community.
cheers

Hi Alugboys.
I'll be in Berlin this weekend. Where can I see some Live8 in action? i'm looking to see some wicked electro artists and/or dnb.
Any ideas/tips where to go to? How's the new WMF, what do they play nowadays (last time I came to see Goldie, but that must be 8 Years ago or so)? What are cool new locations I should check out? Any alugb meeting this weekend?
Thanks for any tips
cheers

WMF just closed (again!) a few weeks ago. I think they're looking for a new permanent location.
edit: Most consistent place for DnB:
