DZ = dubble zout = double salted. There's sweet varieties as well.
Reminds me a funny story I heard years ago.
A Dutch company decided to try to export this "drop" to African countries. As part of a marketing campaign they sent a truck there full with drop, to see if the locals would like it.
Dont remember exactly which border it was, say Ghana and Ivory Coast, where the truck was stopped by officials for inspection. The driver had to open a box of it, and when they asked him what it was he said: Drop, its a kind of candy, you can eat it. They didnt trust him, so he put one of them in his mouth, started to chew and tried to look as happy as possible. After this one of the officials trusted him, so he also took one, put in his mouth and spitted it out immediately.
Then they wrote on the customs form: URO's.

I'm so offended! Why do you think it's ok to make fun of one ethnic group but not others? Why is it suddenly ok to be anti-Dutch but if I posted anti-African comments I'd get so hated on? This whole thread is a bunch of hateful arrogant comments and I'm just not going to take it anymore!

hoho! it's not bad enough their food actually looks like shit, they want you to have a good look at it on the way out too.

I experienced those toilets in Austria as well....fucking terrible design! There it is, a lump of mud on its little shelf. Blegghh! At least I could flush my ass paper, unlike in Greece!

well, in theory it's for assessing your health by checking out your shit - for worms ? blood ? whatever ? - ...but the idea falls flat when you consider the kind of shite people might eat in the first place

Flachspueler is german, that word doesnt exist in Dutch. So there you go.
And I've never put my head that far in the toilet to know what kind of type we got, but you dont have to convince me that
you did, I do believe you.
