Irish carrot stew ?
That's probably only got irish in the title because the dutch chef was drunk on whiskey when he prepared it.

Be glad there's carrots to it. In the old days there were only potatoes. If you were lucky.
But they do have good whiskey, the Irish.
Nice people too, a little stubborn, ah, nothing compared to a dutch.
First they lived on the continent, then they got kicked to England, then they got kicked to Wales, then they got kicked to the Isle of Man, then they got kicked to where they are right now.
History of being kicked.

hoho! not only do the dutch have the absolute worst food in the entire civilized world - without contest - but they have these fucked up toilets so they can carefully examine their shit before disposing of it.
hoho! it's not bad enough their food actually looks like shit, they want you to have a good look at it on the way out too.
none of that matters because they have weed.

Per 2010 there's 91 restaurants in Holland with one or more Michelin star.
There's two 3-star restaurants, one in Sluis and one in Zwolle.
There's a 2-star in Amsterdam, restaurant Ciel Blue, that's Blue Sky for the non-french.
http://www.cielbleu.nl/en/Home.html
Dutch food is hardly available in Amsterdam, except for the snackbar.
There used to be a dutch kitchen in the center, de Keuken van 1870 in de Spuistraat.
When I arrived in Amsterdam in 1992, after having lived a year in Italy, I used to go there to get my stew.
Was 5 guilders at the time, thats 3 euro's.
You cant even prepare it yourself for that price.
Oh yeh, CielBlue: starters 40 euro's, main dish 65 euro, desserts 30 euro's.
Wine check yourself.
Bienvenue, Willkommen, Au Revoir, Arrivederci.
