Yeah I ve learnt to live with the cumbersome slicing in Live, and still use recycle when I want to get things done quickly.
This is mainly because drum racks rule, and IMO are far superior to all third party instruments when using live in this scenario.

ctrl + left/right = select transient
ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients
ctrl + space = play selection

I tested expansion guru years ago, too, but i decided for sliceX ... i don't remember the differences anymore ...

good ol XP, i do miss it a little. It was a newer computer that i bought that ruined it for me. It just wouldn't let me delete 7 and load XP on it…o well i can't live in the past, i have a macbook pro now. I like mac but i don't like that i can't get cool stuff like slicex on there

yes, good old XP ... i bought a 3 years old Laptop just to stay with XP and to keep all my good old software working.
