Automation recording in session.
Better, redesigned browser.
GUI modularity with 2nd monitor support.
Rack improvements - selectable nr. of macros, buttons etc., and multiple zones per chain.
Advanced LFO/Modulator device assignable to any parameter.
Improvements in piano roll - give us some of those nifty FLStudio tools.

Yeah, I'd love to have the option of having 16, or 24, or only two macro knobs...a lot of the time just having one or two extra would be incredibly helpful, and having all those empty ones sitting there when you're only using one is kind of a waste of interface too.

+1 to all good suggestions (you know what ones they are!)
However like Sporkles said for basic things.. free updates are preferable to paid for upgrades.. Look at Urs at U-he for inspiration in that dept.. the new Zebra 2.5 update for example.. The guy is commendable!

1. more shortcut possibilities (i.e. browser windows, vst instruments etc.)
2. more browser windows for better instrument management
3. mouse wheel support
4. the possibility to edit (cut, delete, double etc.) audio tracks in session view ... to consolidate in arrangement is shit!
5. track automation possibilities in session view
6. own group management folder to handle whole groups of often used instrument and effect grouptracks
and of course 64bit!

my main request is for them to improve lives stability.
avoid more bloat, and get back to a rock solid audio engine that can take almost anything you throw at it.
Obviously some of the ideas here are much needed, but live isn't the rock it should be right now, and until it becomes what it should be, everything else is moot point to me.
make 8 great!
implement share
where's m4l?
improve 3rd party plug in hosting.
etc

- automation (beizer?) curves in any view
- lfo assign to any midi-ctrlable params
- fruity loops like peak detector (for sidechain anything for example filter)
- more stability...
thanks

I would really like to see a 'control designer' that would allow you to create complex control mappings with keystroke conversion built in. The ability to create non-linear control curves and assign multiple ranges to a knob or fader in order to skip values or split a knobs range in to segments that control different things. Also to allow buttons to send multiple quantised or timed control changes without using dummy clips or midi ccs, as well as multiple midi notes and keystrokes all from within Live. Velocity sensitive controls that send a completely different set of messages for each defined velocity range. Basically a system for assigning anything to anything else.

note groups man. hell yeah.
also i want to be able to midi map
everything that you can click on. because quite frnakly, midimapping the grain and flux in texture warpmode for example while repitching stuff while resapling and spitting them out through a fsu rack just makes my pants wet. or midimapping the followmode settings for improv semigenerative stuffs. better yet if you can do that on several tracks at once.
yeah, and curves, and a better envelope system in general. seriously, it kinda gets tiresome watching 50 red lines that all look the same with some points. like, can i colorise this particular one please? the track is green (Atleast the track header is), why cant the 10 envelopes on it be green too, please?
i also want to put grouped tracks in group tracks. soooo much.
