See https://www.nativeinstruments.de/forum/ ... hp?t=81741 re. transfer of registration. I've currently got a support ticket with a question about this as well. Selling my copy of NI Essentials on eBay (Absynth 3, Battery 2, Kompakt, Pro-53) to make way for Komplete 5!

8) Is it worth it? depends on what you need it or use it for. I'm still on Komplete 2 and pretty happy. Paid US$ 1000 years ago and some more for the upgrades. For first timers $399 is good buy, but you probably wont use all the instruments.

A good alternative is to top up $100 and buy Omnisphere. definitely worth the money!

the only instrument I wouldn't use (much) in Komplete would be Pro 53, as I find Arturia's Prophet V more realistic (although Pro 53 is less of a CPU hit). Elektrik Piano as well given that Electric from the Live Suite is a go to instrument in my alternative rock productions.

Everything else - very useable and if you're not using it, you're narrowing youself down unnecessarily, everything else has a use. Even though I love Operator, I also love FM8.

An update on this - I just called NI Registration Support in Germany last night (my time - has to be business hours for them) and had the serial numbers for the products I want to sell deleted from my account. They said a new user should now be able to register them, no hassles. They did it straight away, and it was painless.

Edit - just got home from work, Komplete 5 has arrived from NI! Free shipping, from Germany to Australia within 3 days... can't complain about that! It's going to be a late night... :D

Who sells some of his synths to buy Komplete ?
I am looking for Massive, FM8, Absynth, Kontakt, Battery.
Won't buy all I guess, but if you want to sell something
send me a PM with your (good!) offer...

I don't need the printed manual, so if you are living
far away and have the boxed version a simple serial
transfer will do the job !

I'm selling NI Essentials, which includes Absynth 3 and Battery 2. It's already on eBay, auction ends this Sunday. (I don't want to spam the forums with the auction listing, but you can find it if you search on eBay for "ni essentials".)

I already sold Kontakt 3 over the weekend and I am shipping it off to Greece today. Hopefully I can unload Battery 3 as well.

Very happy with my choice, Guitar Rig is amazing, Akoustik Piano is already nicely featured in a new track (because it's the best sounding piano sample bank I've got) and I'm looking forward to digging deeper into my newly "massive" plugin library ;)

Looking forward to finally using it myself! I've only managed to install it all so far.

If I'm too lazy at the moment to uninstall/unregister the individual synths I already have, can I still install Komplete with everything and sort it after the fact?

Good grief... I took the plunge too. Within a couple of days I've already sold my Absynth 4 and Reaktor 5! I'm overwhelmed for the frst time since I've been using software. I'm used to Reaktor, but FM8 and Massive are very new to me. I don't think I'll ever use Acoustik Piano or B4, but it is still far worth it. The biggest surprise is that I love Guitar Rig. I've never played a guitar, but the effects are amazingfor synths and such.

BTW, Anyone interested in Battery 2 for $30? Really useful only if you have an xp machine or a pre-intel mac. Or you could get the Battery 3 upgrade for $99 and save yourself $70 on the full version of Battery 3)
