I used to own Stylus. Didn't like it..... it felt more like a ROMpler than a proper instrument

The remix/mashup and random possibilities with rmx is awsome.
My only wish for version 2 would be scenes. I hope Eric reads this! :D
Because now you are stuck with only one scene group, arent you?
The only way to change loops is to mouse clicking in its browser, one by one track.
The whole idea with scenes is to be able to jam between the sections of a song. Chorus, bridge, etc.

Hmm. If program change works for each of the 8 parts, one could use Lives Session to trigger program changing midi clips. That would solve my biggest wish for the RMX.

Secondly, it would have been great to not need Recycle when importing your own loops. Just for speeding up the workflow.

Update 2012.01: it is actually possible to play scenes. This is how I got it working: create folders with loops for each of RMX 8 tracks. Name the loops so they get the right order: 1, 2, 3, and so on. Put these folders in a master folder. This will be kind of the Project folder for RMX. Select these folders in the RMX track browser. Now you can trigger each loop in each track with a midi clip using midi notes. Create 8 tracks in Live that mirrors RMX and you are ready to go!

The number one benefit of this is that you can load your projects just like a DJ. No need to mouse drag n drop new projects and make space for all the new tracks. You can re-use the same tracks and clips. With 2 RMXs you can mix between any combination of your projects, like a DJ loads his CDs in CD decks.
