simple delay, reverb, flangers tend to be ok defaulted.
do you have a fav setting you recommend to try?

I don't have a fave per se. It varies from track to track and how subtly you want to use it.
Normally I'll turn the randomization (variety) down to keep it under control. Other times I'll turn down the chance amount all the way to 0 and activate the repeat through automation at specific moments.
Many times it's just great to create some controlled "chopped up" patterns on individual tracks... like sampled guitars, keys, pads, etc.
Sometimes I'll automate grid amounts, chance amounts, variation amounts, etc. I guess the premise is just to tweak it until you get something you like or you want.

Been workin' with the Variations in Beat Repeat and they're pretty fun. I normally just use it for vocal samples to make them stutter and get all geeked out. Haven't quite hit the sweet spot with the param's but it's gettin' there.
Definitely doesn't sound good just dragged onto a track, it's something you want to turn ON and OFF when you need the effect unlike something that just stay's ON like a reverb, flanger, simple delay and stuff like that.

set chance to 0, map repeat button and interval to the midi controller, start glitchin.

Ya it'd be cool to see how everyone else is using Beat Repeat, you'd probably just have someone post the param's ,there's not too many, so you could just match it up on your beat repeat without having to upload a file.jsg4z wrote:ill try that. anyone wanna post an .als file with a cool beat repeat demo?
