We are not talking about 30 days rather than six month!

Don't get me wrong:

I don't care that much about the amount of money I "lost"...

It's all about the gesture and the manner how ableton treat their "paying beta testers". After six month Live 8 finally got stable for me... And boom! One week after the release of 8.0.8 they drop prices.

^- this.. yeah it may seem like whining, bitching, etc.. but what are the early adopters/beta testers getting out of all the time spent trying to help ableton release a solid product? from what i can tell the only thing they get out of buying early or beta testing is more expensive, buggy software and the knowledge that other users will have access to discounted products.

support those who support you..

^ I think they get to brag that they're beta testers. For many of them thats good enough at first... then they decide that its not later.

Concerning whining, bitching, etc... If somebody give them a mouthful maybe they will reconsider their strategy...(Yes, I also believe in Santa. )

so they own me 100 euro now...to bad that i only play rarely... i would get rich with all the crash fees
Or you could test it thoroughly before bringing it onstage...

Just a thought...

maybe ableton could test it throroughly before cashing my money?
The kind of bugs they have overseen and still are overseeing in each new version of theese live 8 desaster would be funny if it wouldnt be so sad

You should everybody give the chance for improvements and I agree to participate in this process by the purchase of an early release.

But it's not the right way to take the mickey out of me afterwards...

Logically speaking it should be the other way around i.e. those who took place in the advancement of Live in an early stage of "development" should get a reward! But Ableton prefers to reward those who benefit from the early birds.
