Is there a lack of moderation on the Ableton Forums?

Yes, I think the moderators should be a bit stricter.

Nice!

I reckon there should be tighter moderation so topics like 'jizzing over your partner while they sleep' can be moved to an off-topic section of the forum.

I cant say I read that thread as the title put me off reading it.....

Thanks... but alas, I cannot take any responsibility for this one.

TIP: For a richer forum experience click on "View new posts" as soon as you get here. It's all one big forum then. Surprisingly full of on topic posts about Live.

+1 for a separate On Topic forum - where people can talk about MIDI latency to their hearts content without the thread getting shat on by trolls.

Perhaps a "Please moderate my thread" option when posting a new topic.

I dont think that jizzing over someone with a Banana man suit on while singing "wanna be in my gang" is hardly sexual assualt. It was wearing a Banana man suit wasn't it?

Ars, You're female, yeah?

Look, it would be the same thing if my wife came in here and read the thread. "oh my gaawd, thats awful" etc etc.. and yes, that's perfectly understandable from your point of view. Unfortunately because of the nature of electronic music, the forum is occasionally a bit like a locker room as stated earlier, so you have to take everything with a grain of salt. I'm not going to come sailing into a female forum on twilight and start saying how vampires don't exist and they must all be idiots and I should report them to the authorities for murder and blood play. They have fun talking about it even though it's totally far fetched and total bullshit. Much like 90% of the stuff you read in here. So without sounding too wankish... you're going to have to loosen up or you'll just end up kicking the hornets nest :)
