Actually I have used a BOXX 8300 deskto for 3 years now, running lots of graphics software for 3D animation and Motion Graphics. Sometimes I make music with Ableton on my PC. I have had a MacBookPro for a few years too.
Originally when I bought the BOXX, my reasoning was that telephone customer support for BOXX was top notch and Apples was ridiculous. Not only was it near impossible to communicate via language barrier with Apple, but they read standardized scripts to me answering questions I had already read the answers to on thier site.
3 years later though I wish I would have bought the MacPro instead of the BOXX. Seems to me both platforms have their quirks, but all of the reasons many PC users claim Mac are less worthy, are the reasons I prefer a Mac. Looks, build quality, ease of use, and less hassle with optimization etc. In 3 years my BOXX has failed heavily with virus stuff even though I had been consistently current with AVG protection etc, it also likes to totally freak out sometimes on my dual monitors using the Nvida card, and many times it does not like it acts crippled after rendering video and animations. Adobe softs crash more often and the sound card periodically quits working.
In 3 years on my Mac, my hard drive broke down and was replaced within 2 days at the Apple store.
Sometimes I think Ableton runs a bit better on my PC using windows 7, but overall my experience with Mac has been much better outside ever having to call Apple and asking them about graphics optimization, which used to be their unofficial selling point, "Graphics".

After working at tech support for 3 years i got a mac. Because after full day of sorting out peoples problems with windows, i dont want to come home and start the same thing all over again with my own computer.

Let's not litter this thread with user experience and try to keep it to marketing, stereotypes, and prejudice. That's the cornerstone of all great cultures.
