Wire GUI is a controller application that sends Open Sound Control messages. Groups of user interface objects are available for use, including sliders, buttons and knobs. Custom arrangement and color settings can be specified, along with many other options. All editing takes place on the device.

This is the part where I bitch about the fact that Live doesn't natively support OSC.

I'll bet OSC is something Ableton is working on.

In the meantime, what do we do? I guess we get some kind of program running in the background that converts OSC to MIDI info?
(sorry, I'm late to the party)

MIDI Breakout Box

It's a $1.99 multi-touch MIDI router that lets you:
* Route MIDI input to one or more different channels
* Transpose input up or down in pitch before sending it to the output channels
* Change instrument presets, volume and stereo panning on output channels
The latest version also adds support for keyboard splits.

Yeah, but it breaks OSC templates. A new update has been submitted, if you use Custom OSC names you'd better skip this one.
