we live in very fast times apparently^^

ive experienced it a lot with piano teaching, it actually happend so often that i stopped teaching "boring" handexercises completely and now try to start with their fav. song.
which is ofc not that hard, because its mostly Mtv music , which means 4 chords a bridge and finish^.

the bottomline is,... its not my problem if they cant, and wont ever learn to play "real" piano, with sheets, notes and freaking endlessly finger techniques.
apparently all the can and want to do is play 4 chords in a row

ofc one day they will hear a real pianista probably even playing their simple 4 chords, and they'll notice that it sounds 100 times better than themselfes playing it.
and thats ofc because the Pro spent years and years practicing his fingers and feelings for the music.

in my opinion, -everything- in life would take much more than just one short human lifetime, to bring to real perfection.
and since especially music "works" infinite,... well

good thing were not all that gready and unpatient !

fortunately we Humans worked out a system of EpicSuck and EpicWin that in 99,9% successfully elimininates TEH SUCK, so only the Win comes through and gets the well earned Respect.

there are as usual in Life exeptions, which probably is what encourages the kids, not sure.

and thank you. I was listening to yours today too and dug the sound scapes. A little slow moving for the mood I was in but that was just me.

I've brought the lappy out with live on it a few times... used it like a effects unit with some reaktor ensembles on sends and a couple of washy sound scape samples for interludes (most all of the performing groups I'm in are improvised) so that helps with transitions. But the couple of times I've taken it out to just play with a drummer and use it for effects and stuff it just didn't sound good and then theres always latency. I'm still brainstorming some interactive effects and what not but I feel like computers are still not quite agile enough (do you feel heat or is it just me?) for what I'm trying to do... which is still only a vague idea You?

There seems to be alot of bass players on this forum.

like this one time we were walking down market street here and Bx3 (http://bx3tour.com/main.html) ((oh my fucking GAWD)) was just starting up in this club. I was like "no way you could pay me to go in there" and my friend was all like "c'mon, this will be so sweeet. You'll love it!" all the while you hear three bass' playing autumn leaves in the background.. UHGGG

However I did just get my 71 rick refurbed to the point of playable again... hmm..

I did post that thread in the lounge, so as to rise this general discussion, and I am NEVER agressive with individuals that post these questions, in their own threads (perhap's sometimes a bit ironical, sometimes I help, sometimes I just go away)

you're all right, we all have been noobs, and we all still have lots to learn, I've got absolutely nothing with people asking questions (why would I spend times on forums? I don't think I'm a troll, well, I hope so)

Maybe do I recognise myself in these frakin' shameless wannabes? well, I'm a frakin' wannabe, but I'm pretty sure I'm not shameless
