I'm not sure if I even have operator - but at the top of the thread it said that you don't need to unlock it in order for this to work?

If you have Live v.4.1 or higher, you have Operator built into you installation. Just go into Options > Preferences > Products and make sure Operator isn't hidden.
If unhidden, then Operator will show up in your Live Instruments folder on the Live Browser.

Sorry for the dead links, rebuilding the website at the moment.
Here's a link to a pack with all the volumes. 700-ish Operator presets made between 2004 and 2006.
