Does sound amazing, better than the Madvillain track, haha. And I'm surprised the film looks so damn good too. Gotta love MF Doom.

I reckon Umbrella by Rhianna is noisy, but a perfect pop hit.

Pretty much most the early 90s indie I was listening to.

This for example - The Family Cat - Tom Verlaine - it's not youtube that makes it sound so tinny, it sounds like that on the CD. You just have to remember how great they sounded live and then try to superimpose that sound on top of the recording... :)

A notable exception is the Steve Albini produced Wedding Present Seamonsters. That production has stood the test of time very well.

nothing beats Dead Moon when it comes to crappiness though! everything is crappy about their music... they can't play, sing or whatever, but it touched me deeply...

Unless I've missed something no one has posted any punk music yet. Maybe this track is well produced in comparison to a lot of punk from the era or maybe it just sounds cool as all hell. Bad Brains.

Pretty much all of the albums by The Thermals before Personal Life were fuzzy, ugly, dirty, and absolutely awesome. I am the kind of person who hears poor production and just can't deal with it. I can't stand bad bootleg recordings of my favorite bands and band. But The Thermals did everything wrong in just the right way. When they cleaned it up for Personal Life, it actually lost some appeal for me.
