Motorola etc. aren't immediately deemed 'leaches' (which is what you're implying) by the emergence of a company competing in their market with a better idea. A leech company to me would be Enron, where the product itself wasn't just outdated, it simply didn't exist.
On the contrary, they were shipping junk, which is why it only took 5 years for these companies to be sold for scrap once Apple stepped up and said "Hey, you guys are shipping junk!"

Here's another example:

No leeching here.

Also, most sandwiches taste like ass. :x

You would have been decrying Apple as a lost ship, laughing at the Newton and the like, previous to their success.
You would be saying exactly the same thing about them that you're now saying about Microsoft.

Plus it doesn't in any way address my main point you keep evading. Most people do their job well, a few do a great job and a few don't do a good job. I don't know where you're actually from this particular mult, but that's the way it is here in the states, and I don't think we're particularly special that way.

And Apple isnt a leach at all are they :!: ? Apple pays employees $2.00 an hour in China but they dont leach.
You are brainwashed by apple.

I don't understand how people who are "fans" of apple consider themselves to be brilliant and creative when they are so easily susceptible to marketing.
They make consumer electronics. How the fuck can you be a fan of a corporation who makes consumer electronics and is evil to human beings. That is so sad, I dont mean that as an insult. Its honestly sad that grown people are fans of a company who brainwash people and are perpetrators of wage slavery

Great, let's destroy one of the only companies left who are still able to produce anything worth anything in spite of the government's best efforts. Let me guess, with socialism, the government will also have a monopoly on innovation. Yippee.

It's not obvious at all. How could food, a scarce resource, ever be truly freely abundant? Riddle me that, genius.

Funk N. Furter wrote:It would be free in that you wouldn't need money for it. You would just walk into a restaurant and get fed without having to hand over money. This is a basic socialist policy. Free like the healthcare I had yesterday at the Eye Hospital. I didn't need any money. It's just provided - free.
Would there be +4 month waiting periods for food, like there currently are for life-saving cancer treatment at the NHS?

Funk N. Furter wrote:There is no shortage of food now.
Actually, there is. Technically speaking, any quantity of food that stops short of infinte abundance is a shortage. Math not your strong suit, is it?
There is already enough food.
Prove it. And no, spamming links to irrelevant websites doesn't count.
Plus we can grow more food.
At what cost? Be specific now.
We need to stop the practices which cause global warming. We need more research on sustainable agriculture. We cannot rely on oil and gas to produce food any longer.
"We"? Who is this "we" you keep referring to? Quite the collectivist, aren't ya?
