Going off on a tangent there, but it seems that the trick is to get the most mileage out of each track, rather than having a ton of tracks. (Sorry for not using metric metaphors there) :)
Exactly.... I've just now tried to condense my Live concept somewhat, it's still quite a lot.
The effect chain for the thunder inspired me tremendously.... You can get great unpredictable results that way... Sometimes unwanted feedback as well, any hints on how to avoid these? (1st send: delay, 2nd send: delay different time, 3rd send: Autofilter, 4th send: Beat Repeat, feeding from one track into one of these and then onwards into others..... sometimes really dangerous.....)

Does it work now? It works with all my browsers.
does work now!

I think monolake is lying when he says he's happy with the version 5 release because THIS picture proves he's not using version 5. damn!
look at the preset switches on the devices. this is live 5.

Why is it important if this specific set runs on Live 5 or Live 4 ? I think actually this is Live 4 on the screenshot but I cannot tell, i have seen way to many interim versions. I often swich between versions while working for ableton, just to check for instance if a bug is new or already in since Live xxx.

The concert at Tonic tonight is Atlantic Waves which allways has a visual aspect and the set at PS-1 tomorrow is in the afternoon, and there will be no video.
Unfortunately the Atlantic Waves set does not work yet since we have some internet trouble between Tokyo and NYC and I hope we can solve it. If not, I am not sure what to play tonight, since I would not want to do the normal monolake live set twice in the same city in two days. I am not Pink Floyd or Madonna, as far as I can tell.....

Good thing you have a "Composition <----> Improvisation" tool at you disposal, eh?

On the Subtonic website it says your set starts at midnight, if I show up around 11:30 I'm not going to miss your set am I?

Yes, the set will not start before 12:00.

I also came up with a fallback scenario:
If everythnig fails I will convince Matthew ( Safety Scissors ) to be my partner. This is not as exiting as being networked with !Tokyo! but it will work. Matthew does not know yet of this plan.... but there is still hope, that we sort out the connection issue till tonight. It is always such a cool moment when Scott and me finally are ready to run. Pressing a button and knowing that the hihat comes back in in a club in Tokyo is pretty cool, isn“t it ?

I drove into Queens to find PS-1..(6 hours later) By the time I found the place my girl was not speaking to Me....and Your set was over.....When I was asked If I was on the guest list I asked if "Roberts" set was over, the guy had no clue (then thought to myself "why am I not on the guest list?")

So We left and drove into Manhatten and went bar hopping

this makes twice I have dragged Her to the city because of My "ableton
adoration" (hey thats got a "ring" to it) only to look like a fool afterwards.

I guess its *live* and learn as they say

Wow. I just got back home from the show. Nice hat Mr. Henke! It really added to the whole surreal experience of watching an outdoor show in queens. The sound of your set flooding Jackson(?) street in daylight as we quickly passed through the long line was something truly bizzare. There was something poetic about the concrete slabs seperating the makeshift Ibiza-esque experience inside from the unbeknownst, recently gentrified urban landscape outside of it.

My girlfriend, little sister, and recently reconciled friend (who just found me on line) all had a wonderful time at this event.

Oh yeah, the flying foam disks worked serendipitoulsly with your hat! :D

Afterwards we discovered a bar in Williamsburgh that gives you a free pizza (as in large personal pie) with every beer you order (Alligator Lounge). Wow. What a great night. Disposable disks was the theme, as I have returned home to the new bug fixes, eager to mix some new beats, (especially after a road trip filled with great music!)

Yeah, I'm sure you were looking all over for that Sign all over the place. Still, the question mark indicated uncertainty. :?:

Of course we didn't have to oggle the directions/directions too much, seeing as though we used the subway. 8) Queens is like the bermuda fucking triangle.

Why post bitter digs on sensitive people?

Because 5 is a higher number than 4.

And my amp goes up to 11.

ahh, but look at the lack of a huge track number light on each channel ala Live5. This is Live4.
