cool, computo! I like this sort of stuff. I did a big stutter-edit thing with Arkaos and Live, when I was trying out Arkaos a while back. It's super-fun to see little video clips trigger when you're playing

Add an arpeggiator or two, and you're golden, hehe.

Actually, there is no video involved, its literally notes triggering pixels, and velocity triggering color density.
Im almost done, so you'll see it soon.

Ive NEVER had an issue with it. Perhaps it exposed other flaws in your system, but soundflower is completely solid.
I used soundflower for a bit, and it had a nasty habit of slowly feedbacking on me all the time. fucked me up real good one time doing a class presentation while using it.
FUK!
As far as programs go, I've been pleased with puredata, and haven't had a hard time navigating it. I did go thru the tutorial for max whiile I had the demo, and it helped a ton. It seems SO simiilar, even a lot of the commands are the same.

Also, I really have to tip my hat to bidule....
turinng it into a vsti was the coolest idea for a program of its nature I've seen in awhile. Its so much nicer imo hosting it in a sequencer like ableton and allowing it to wreak havoc like that.

I would like Live to have a back stage where you could build your own stuff, from pure math to synths...

And where are all these wonderful things that people create with the wonderful tools?
We have had some bidule posts here. One MAX thing I think. Reaktor things? Pluggo things?
Does this reflect something (apart from me being a Bidule nerd.)
Perhaps we should set up a chart with features, cost etc for the alternatives, to get a clear view.

There are literally thousands of pluggo and Max projects out there...
Just because you havent heard of them, doesnt mean they arent out there.

try not using the bed portion...just port the audio through the audio prefs...
SHouldnt need the bed. Soundflower has a lot on Jack.
