bye bye Glitch..
strange, I wonder what that particular effect sequencer can offer that can't be achieved by midi sequencing artillery. I'm sure I'll figure that out when they start demo'ing it.
good question..
I assume Effectrix shares the same engine, though triggered by internal sequencer..

I've been thinking the same thing but even if it was just that I think it would improve the work flow greatly. We've been asking for a step sequencer forever in Live. Some people get it and some people don't understand what all the fuss is about.
The other thing I'm wondering is it says it has 13 effects and it looks like there are 13 tracks in the step sequencer, but are those effects tied to those 13 tracks. Maybe there's 1 effect that you want 3 or 4 variances of and several effects you don't want to use at all. I'm wondering how much control you have over those 13 tracks and if you can change the effect on each.

I assume it's the fact that you don't need an extra midi track if you don't want it. And you can always see what effect is on what sequencer lane (Unlike unnamed midi note lanes). Maybe the fact that it's less modular could be good for automation too. I've only really demo'd artillery last night. Does Live's 128 parameter limit pose a problem with with ableton's midi learn due to the huge number of parameters in Artillery? I'll have to check that when I get home.
you can't automate hardly anything in artillery via live from what I've seen. though I'm still using artillery 1 cause I demo'd artillery 2 and didn't like what I was getting out of it.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

You can automate nearly everything in the Artillery2 vst version.
And parameters which you can't automate you also can midi learn.
can't await effectrix. hopefully they'll support triggering sequences via midi.
