Those were pretty influential to me. Goonies was filmed right up the road so I always keep that in the dvd revolution. I love that part of the Oregon coast. You all have suggested some great ones. Some I haven't thought about in a while. God I love Netflix. I've been loading up my queue like crazy.

I still have the Crispin Glover scene from Wild at heart where he is laying on the ground with a yardstick and scraps of peanut butter sandwiches yelling "I'm making my lunch!!" on repeat in my brain. Some days I feel like that.

That is a great movie, Fossie did lots of great stuff. Roy Scheider's (sp?) performance is incredible.

I recently watched the first three seasons of "The Wire".

It's addicting. Maybe more so for me because it is filmed in my home town. Not a movie, I know, it's more like a really really long movie.

**edit** not sure if it is out on DVD yet, but "Munich" was a great film, if you are into that sort of thing.

Might I suggest an excellent french movie (english subtitles) called Irreversible. Fuckin' outstanding.

I'll check it out. Lost track of this thread, traveling. Gotta also reccommend Spinal Tap and Office Space (both already mentioned) on the comedy side of things. Meet the Parents also cracks me up.
