mazzotti- you seem like a really nice guy and I dig your tunes but I'm SO glad you're not on my side of the political fence. Nazi references, calling people dumb, quoting Fox 'news' and some of your outrageous statements are just too much man, way too much.

So what do you like about Ableton? Learn anything new lately? Do you work in Session or Arrange View? Do you master in Live? What controllers do you use?

It really astounds me that anybody still has any faith in W or believes anything he says but your attitude has helped me make sense of it. Thanks.

Bucky Fuller really nailed it when he said the test is whether or not the human race will wise up before it destroys itself. Hopefully we're not the only planet with highly sentient species in the universe.

I think you kind of got that backwards, no? The general consensus amongst most reasonably educated people is that the mainstream meda has a slightly liberal bias while fox news is massively and overtly conservative. Pretty much everyone knows that. Also, its pretty ridiculous to say the others are massively liberal when they are almost all owned by large multi-national corporations that heavily fund the political campaigns of conservative politicions. So, while its certainly true that many of the journalists writing these stories are liberal, its not like their editors or the companies they work for are going to let them spout off whatever liberal propoganda they want. But what would you want? If the president is making a huge mess out of everything would you rather they just didnt write anything for fear they might be called a liberal?

He's just calling it like it is. Good for him.

Now we need some people here in this country in positions of power to follow suit. Don't look to democrats for that though.

totally agree, just commenting on the extent of it all, hence my distracting in topic questions, threads like this can make people pissy, they enforce community to an extent but too much of it breeds hostility. I might recommend you post an on topic thread for every off topic one you start, or even one on topic POST for every off topic post. Know what I mean?
the foxnews news thing?

fox is just disgusting, fear mongering, the hosts of many of their shows are arrogant assholes. Bill O'Reilly, the crossfire assholes etc. I don't watch TV news channels, I avoid pop culture bullshit. When a story interests me I check a few web sites and distill the general info into the base facts. Fox is as much opinion as it is 'news'. Fuck them and their terror alert colors, seriously, it's sick.

BTW I still haven't checked your link, I don't visit that site.
if you think chavez is a good guy and doesn't like bush for the same reasons you don't then you are either dumb or naive or maybe both
Dude, you really can't call someone dumb because they disagree with you, that's ignorant. ANYONE sticking it to bush on that level makes me happy.

Again, different does not mean bad. Yes, most of the rest of the world has a lower standard of living than the US, this does not invalidate their existence. That's the imperialistic american attitude, not cool.

I'm glad you're chem-free because you're paranoid enough as it is. I applaud him for giving bush crap in the same way it fills me with glee that W was sitting right there when Colbert ripped him a new one at the Press Corps dinner <sheds tear of happiness>.

I feel like I'm at war with bush, not hugo. Bush is the biggest threat to US security, safety, its future and well being. The guy has fucked the country up.

You're writing to an atheist, please do leave the planet, a majority of the wars are over religion. I see you're a real old testament type too, aside from dirty old men with their dicks hanging out, old testament christians are some of the creepiest people I've ever met (again, you seem cool, that's a generalisation).

you claim to be a hippy, what was Lennon writing about in the song Imagine? (IMO the best song ever written)

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

deva - there are retired generals speaking out, Colin Powell finally stood up, more and more the GOP is destroying itself. My hope is that in all this the GOP will alienate itself and take a decade to get its act back together.

the things you are claiming are not even remotely factual.

most of the media in Venezuela is privately owned and is not favorable to Chavez because it is owned by the same interests that have been trying to oust him. In fact it spends a good bit of its time attacking him.

And yes, I have friends who live there or who are Venezuelans living here and who visit there.

Quote from the back of the new Sam Harris book ..
Forty-four percent of the American population is convinced that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead sometime in the next fifty years. According to the most common interpretation of biblical prophecy, Jesus will return only after things have gone horribly awry here on earth.

It is, therefore, not an exaggeration to say that if the city of New York were suddenly replaced by a ball of fire, some significant percentage of the American population would see a silver lining in the subsequent mushroom cloud, as it would suggest to them that the best thing that is ever going to happen was about to happen—the return of Christ. It should be blindingly obvious that beliefs of this sort will do little to help us create a durable future for ourselves—socially, economically, environmentally, or geopolitically.

Imagine the consequences if any significant component of the U.S. government actually believed that the world was about to end and that its ending would be glorious. The fact that nearly half of the American population apparently believes this, purely on the basis of religious dogma, should be considered a moral and intellectual emergency

No, he will be crucified again.

We crucify those that tell the truth, then idolize them when they are safely dead so their message can be corrupted to serve the ends of power.

those 44% will be the first to string him up if he does return.
