so i've recently decided to go vegetarian & it's been a little bit of an adjustment for me, but i feel really strongly about it and i don't have any doubts about my decision. i'm considering going vegan as well, but i'm trying to make the transition slowly..
i just want to know if anyone here has done this & if it was really hard to adapt to that lifestyle..any advice/warnings/moral support welcome... thanks

best part is energy levels, MUCH higher if you eat a well balanced vegan diet.
Once again, a vegan misconception. The whole "higher energy levels" from eating only vegan food is hogwash. Its true that eating a lot of meat, particularly red meat, will burn you out, but eating meat in moderation with a balanced diet will give you just as much energy, if not more, then a vegan diet.

Yeah, because meat eaters don't read the labels and ingredients of foods. Silly generalization.

SHUT UP! It IS true that you will have more energy and feel better overall when you stop eating animal products. I and many many others have experienced this. I quit eating animal products at age 12, relapsed due to family pressure when i was about 15, then stopped again at about 17-18. I remember both times feeling remarkably lighter, clearer, better. I run daily, sometimes up to 20 miles, usually now around 5-10, a few years ago I could do around 30 (I am not lying) all on a raw vegan diet. That was when i lived in Seattle, where it is very easy and cheap to eat RAW, organic and vegan. Back East it is not so cheap and accessible....
Fuck all you carnivore pigs that think you know something. You can't control what you put in your face, like a fat little kid with a big bag of candy, so you make attemp after attempt to dismiss, debunk, deride the healthier diet of vegans/vegetarians. You don't know shit. Just eat your fu*king Big Mac and shut up, stop spreading your disease and trying to hold down individuals who are making an attemp (unlike you) to better themselves and the world around them.
You pigs are always trying to justify your PIG lifestyle, willing to LIE and pur others down in attempt to shift the focus away from your disgusting addiction.
You Frankie123 are FULL OF SHIT AND TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS ABOUT SOMETHING OF WHICH YOU KNOW NOTHING. I have heard it before...."moderation"....there is no "moderation" in DEATH or torture. Just admit you are a greedy pig and are unwilling to change that and that's it. ShUT UP.
People who eat meat are pigs and deserve all of the health ailments that they will one day suffer.....no one has the right to take another living entity's life to feed their greedy little belly.

of course its a generalisation, this whole thread is dedicated to them, and yes very often meat eaters do not read the labels because they have no need to.

this is the point exactly. Vegans and vegetarians are simply MORE AWARE. We are operating on a HIGHER LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS. This awareness will be evident in other aspects of one's existence as well, although no one is perfect........at least some of us are TRYING to raise the frequency.

Yeah you're a moron. For the record, I've boxed in the nyc golden gloves, and have been boxing for 6 years, so I've exposed myself to every diet. I've eaten veggies for a week or so to see how I feel, when I combine veggies and meat, I have higher energy levels.

Now thats just bullshit. Vegans think they are more humane, yet in many ways they aren't. Read this article.

Again you are full of shit.
I don't wanna read your stupid article, I know what's what and I know that not eating meat is the RIGHT THING TO DO. That's fine if you want to do the WRONG THING, but don't try some bullshit tactics to try and persuade me, to justify your gluttony and greed (and in some ways sociopathy)

yeah, I love when people start acting like ________
err_eur, when I read your post I have to think at the theory that eating meat makes people more aggressive and then I have to laugh because your behaviour is very aggressive, using words like "fuck you all blah blah".
For the record I don't feel concerned by your yelling and shouting because I -unlike you- never acted as someone who holds the thruth.
Not every meat eater is an anti vegan/vegetarian, it sounds you are a bit paranoid, so maybe if someone is insecure here you are the one my pal.
I don't know if your behaviour is caused by lack of animal proteins, lack of sex, lack of friends or mabye a mixture of all above mentioned but you really should try to get yourself together and maybe think twice before posting like a poor idiot, showing which kind of person you are.
And stop insulting everybody, because that lower your level very much.
I bet you would be the last one to say something if we were discussing face to face.

hey I understand we are living in a sociopathic society. Some people are just SICK and they are into causing or feeding off of the suffering and humiliation of others. MANY MANY MANY MANY people are like this, and it's always been this way. A LOT of people voted for BUSH, and they fully support the war in IRAQ, to justify the end of the sustaining of their comfortable life riding around in the car all day driving in circles listening to the radio while little kids and grandmothers are being blown up, raped and shot (and burnied alive, etc. etc. etc. )
I understand a lot of you sick fuckers get off on evil shit.
Just don't expect me to get into it, or be a part of the sick game.

I feel sorry for you err_eur
you just confirmed my thoughts you are not able to discuss like civilized people should do.
now you don't have anything more to say about the original thread you start with general blah blah which seem quoted from some pre-college girlies.
you really need to get yourself toghether

Do you people think I GIVE A SHIT????
NO.
I really separate this world into two types of people.
1) those who try to live in a way which causes the least amount of (real, not internet bullshit ) suffering to other living entities.
In other words, those of us who are civilized and are interested in raising the overall level of consciousness on this planet.
Coexistence.
and
2)Those of you who don't care who (animals are people too...) has to suffer in order for them to satisfy their desires, whatever they may be.
Sociopathy.
Unfortunately, it seems like number 2 has the upper hand these days, at least in "America"
