Hi folks,
After the success of the nightly jams at the festival club at the Melbourne festival, Outpost is on again this month on Wed 30th Jan.
If you don't know how it works... it's an open audio and video jam session, where you come along with your laptop/or electronic gadgets of your choice and improvise music/video together. It's worth coming and having a look first, but everyone is welcomed to join in.
Entry is free, doors are at 7.30, and you should get there early to talk to the organizers and get a spot on the table if you want to play.
it's also a great way to get to know other laptop musos, and look over the shoulder of people to see how they are doing what they are doing.
This mon th will is sure t o be huge... so come have a l ook, and m ake sure you don't miss this one.

and now.. the official blurb...
New years greetings to one and all from all the Share Outpost crew,
Our 2008 season launches on Wednesday the 30th of January at Horse Bazaar from 8:30 p.m.
We have a special surprise guest performing so there is a very good reason to come to the first Outpost for the year! Do not miss this one... seriously.
We are also very pleased to have regular Outpost jammer, producer and sonic landscaper Evil Jed (a.k.a. Gerrard Jenner) doing his first feature set. Jed has been sculpting environments for listeners to cohabitate for the last 12 years and his musical output runs the full gamut from pop to experimental, with his latest works having a dub techno/haunted house flavour. Jed also employs home built electronics and programmed devices into his live sets so expect an exciting performance.
Gerrard also runs Beats and Bleeps, a night showcasing local producers and also the monthly sound production workshop iNPuT.
As always the jams are on and new players/projectors are most welcome so tell your friends and..
Bring your gear and have no fear!
See you Wednesday..

Greetings OUTPOST friends,
the relaunch of OUTPOST at our new awesome venue Bar Open is almost upon us and we're making it a cracker.
Get yourselves down to 317 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy on Wednesday March 25th from 8:30pm - entry is free and beverages are very reasonably priced.
For this month's event, we are thrilled to have Jean Poole and Lewis CanCut performing a warm up set for their upcoming TV-inspired ACMI Synaesthesia show.
Jean Poole, aka Sean Healy, is concerned with real time audio visual performance. A founder of Newcastle’s Electrofringe
Festival, Jean Poole is regular contributor to the event’s annual program and travels Australia (and Europe) performing at
major events and festivals.
Providing the music to Jean Poole’s visuals is Lewis CanCut, aka Lewis Gittus, a young DJ hailing from regional Victoria with a
love of vinyl. His current work examines elements of club culture such as appropriation and repetition, bound together by
dense layers of stolen sound that threaten at any moment to self implode!
Stalwart of Melbourne downtempo sweetness, Thomas Campbell (aka.
Soup from MISO) is also performing a solo slot which will be sure to satisfy like a good meal.
The jams are also absolutely on so be sure to come down and bring your devices for the a/v key party..
As always, new players/projectors are most welcome so tell your friends and..
Bring your gear and have no fear!
See you Wednesday the 25th..
