Tassman, Moog Modular, Oddiity, etc. the list goes on of companies that have not released UB versions yet. That only say "soon" when asked about a time frame.

The only problem I have with NI is they release a projected dater for completion, and it's really impossible for any company to really know when a complete rewrite of your software will be done. So mac loyalists, who refuse to acknowledge to any degree that it's at all Apple's fault, take issue with NI for simply trying to inform their users when they think they might be done with the port.

Reality is Apple gave ZERO notice for the introduction of Intel chips, ZERO notice that they would shave SIX MONths off the introduction of the hardware, and NI coded all their mac plugs in CodeWarrior which up until then was just fine. NI aren't the only ones caught off guard, there really are only about half the plug ins on the intel macs right now, period.

You guys want to whine and bitch like little kids because NI tried to let you in on the details, but seriously, companies like PSP that don't say anything at all piss me off more. At least I have the impression that NI are working on it.

Not sure why NI are easy targets for the mac crowd, it's getting old though. stability issues really aren't that bad on my machines, and it just seems like hot air.
spectrasonics at least have Stylus RMX running perfect as i own it but yeah their other stuff isnt evidently cause it was originally bought from other companies and they didnt plan ahead as well..
I see EZDrummer from Toontracks is working perfect.. I just got that and am very pleased
More importantly........ spectrasonics never ever said it will be "this day" or a "few days" as a matter of fact, they specifically mention trilogy and atmosphere would be quite some time......

Toontrack did kinda mention "soon" a few times over two or three months......but they NEVER actually gave a date.

Well let's see? NI have Absynth, FM8, and Battery 3 out, but yeah, since that makes them look on par with Spectrasonics, we just wont mention that. Get it? We all forgive Spectrasonics, because NI have become people's favorite whine target.

Maybe we should turn this into a "WTF is Kore?" thread, huh?

Again, you're just not being very realistic about software. So it's OK to not tell you shit, just something vague like "a long time", but if you get a projected release schedule, you act like the company are assholes for at least trying to give you an estimated release date???

*subject to change When you see this in relation to a preliminary release schedule, you should know that it means it's an estimated completion, not anything set in stone.
I want Reactor on my macbook yesterday too, but I realize that it's more my fault for buying one before ALL my software was ready, than NI, PSP, REFX, or FXPansion's (GURU is still beta UB) fault.

Live was ready early for sure, but they also release one product, ( Operator and Sampler code are sitting in all out copies ) not 13+

you are so incorrect, you're WRONG!

those "updates" are expensive, not the so called 29 dollar updates for exsisting customers.

what part of the keep changing dates/"a few days" a monthago/dropping products after promising updates do you not understand?

adding to the last post......why are there so many people who can't face the facts and keep sticking up for ni and calling everyone who's upset (which is a greater number btw) whiners?

I'm trying my best to explain it to you/others so that you can see why......I don't think it can be explained any clearer.

Let me try this.....again......I really don't care how long it takes....it's not the point. What is the point is that ni is teasing customers along, and in the case of guitarrig and the guitar combos (as well as absynth, fm(whatever) and battery) they have flat out lied.

remember, battery 2, absynth 3, and fm 7 were originally slated to become 29 dollar updates, not 100 dollar plus up"grades".........

Lol. I ´ve been NI customer, too, for several years now,
but their update/upgrade policy really stinks.

Just headed over to NI Forums as I thought I could buy Battery 3,
but Battery 3 is a nightmare for dualcore users as it seems.
I just can´t believe they release a plugin that does not work
on dualcore systems with Cubase SX3 running as a host.
Oh, and I don´t think it would with Ableton.

I mean, they´re pricing is pro, so their development should be, too,
and that includes testing software on a standard DAW.
I99900K WIn10
Win11 and Tuxedo Gemini 2
RME Babyface & UFX I
..some additional Synth hardware :)

So far my intel Mac transition has cost me 650 quid in hardware nearly 500 quid in software upgrades. (1000 / 800 USD for our cousins across the pond who can't convert to real money in their heads).

That sucks.

As I said in that thread- petition Apple instead. They're the ones who change everything in midstream...
