alas, not yet. As always the projects are piling up, and I have to prepare for a big gig with a mate of mine now too, so you'll have to be patient, I'm afraid.

This will NOT be vapour-ware. I *will* make it ;)

following Machinates and Fat Elvis' nfo, i figured a way to max-patch the KPK.
it is far from really usable but you'll get a feeling for what is possible.

see discussion at http://www.thecovertoperators.org and get patch here: http://kpkproject.twoday.net/

I'm thinking of buying some new controller and padKontrol seems to be cool - but this light issue is a minus.

What about microKontrol??
Does the pads on microKontrol also behave like those in padKontrol??

I'm searching for a matrix of buttons, 4x4 with lights/leds status that will inform if the button is on or off.

Microkontrol plus a piece of software called LCXmu does it and more - works beautifully by putting the Mk in native mode and using mackie emulation :

Pretty simple to get going.

Are you still tryin to get this thing together.. bet you could sell it on covertoperators site if that would give you extra motivation to finish it...

I would bet I could sell it.. unfortunately I have to focus on other stuff that pays the bills right now :-| The project isn't dead, and the files are still active. The main problem remaining is how to specify the app.

Well, if you can finish the project Machinate, I would definitely donate some money to its development. I realize it takes time, and time is money.
Maybe Korg should pay you for its development because once someone develops this hack, I think th PadKontrol may start to get even more attention.
