It seems to me that my top picks so far are:
Hawaii (honolulu most likely)
Portland, OR
Seattle, WA
All the reasons you guys are naming are pretty much summing up the initial thoughts I had to begin with. Phoenix sounds kinda wack. Well not wack, just not as good as other places...
I definitely think Hawaii would be the top dog but I've always wanted to see/life in the Pacific northwest. Especially Oregon. My ex and I planned on moving to Portland or Eugene.
I am not especially interested in "club culture." I am more interested in LIVING. I couldn't give a shit less if I can't find drugs or raves or any of that crap. I mean yeah it's all good but I really can take it or leave it. I don't care either way.
As far as the climate of Portland and Seattle...
Hmm.
I tend to be depressed by nature. In fact I am almost always depressed. I really don't think that the weather would affect me though because I am so USED to feeling 'down.' I refuse to ever take any drug for that shit, not that I think I need it... I just know that I am susceptible to feeling depressed!
I actually think rainy weather is charming.

Atlanta maybe. I'm 2 hours away and I go there a lot. Athens, GA is cool too. I went to college there. Atlanta DOES have the worst driving though. If I had my choice.....Portland or Austin.

During the Sydney2000 Olympics I was designated to work with Nike.
They had a team here from Portland Oregon, and to cut it short they nearly killed me by driving me on the wrong side of the road.
Can't be that good a place...
p.s. everytime I am about to hit submit, i always press (ctrl + a... ctrl + x.. ctrl + v) then submit.

Yea I can see why.
No comment on the driving thing... Guess thats why they have such a great public transit system

awesome, never had so many people anticipate me crapping.
will have to tease you and make you wait another week or so.
no i havent had bad food, just slightly above the hemisphere.
in singapore, you were lucky to get any flush at all and that's pretty much on the equator.. so maybe that's saying something about this whole (hole) theory.
