From my heart to you
Nobody knows me
As well as you do
You know how hard it is for me
To shake the disease
That takes hold of my tongue
In situations like these"

Class :D

The recent live versions with just piano and vocals are much better than the original.
Thats my second best...Love it

Seriously I just couldn't narrow it down to one -
I could begrudgingly narrow it down to say 10 that mean an awful lot to me.
Whether or Not I have a BEST is impossible too say.
I love all sorts of music from John lee Hooker to Screamin Jay Hawkins to Autechre to Plaid to Bjork to Sigor Ros to Radio Head and Uncle and Orbital to Underworld to Mahler to Griegg, to Gorecki, to Cage, Sakamoto, Sylvian, Tomita, Zappa and friggin back again.
Don't torture me dude.
In no particular order -

1.David Sylvian - Orpheus

2.Mazzy Star - Fade Into You

3.Nine In Nails - Something I Can Never Have

4.Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill

5.Annie Lennox - Cold

6.RadioHead - Fake Plastic Trees

7.Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim

8.David Bowie - Life on Mars

9.Marc Almond - Stardom Road

10.Everything But The Girl - Rollercoaster

Somewhere between a rock and a hard place is actually nowhere.

Such a brilliant, brilliant tune from such a fantastic album made by an incredibly talented man. Ah, thanks for reminding me!
Sleepers sleep as we row the boat
Just you, the weather, and I gave up hope
But all of the hurdles that fell in our laps
Were fuel for the fire and straw for our backs

Still the voices have stories to tell
Of the power struggles in heaven and hell
But we feel secure against such mighty dreams
As Orpheus sings of the promise tomorrow may bring
I don't actually own a copy, though.

Hm. Might have to run to the CD shoppe to get one before they close...

Yeah. I think I will.

Thanks, man!

Did they have it? Did they fuck.

Anywhere can I download DRMless FLACs? Oh right. No place that'll let me shoot a few quid to sidi Sylvian, that's where. Progress my backside!

Ehh... as you were!

Are you serious?
I'm pretty sure this isn't a question for which there IS a serious answer

Either way though, it is totally subjective, and dependant on associations (e.g. my favourite song is ... because when I first met my wife we danced to it; etc). So there's no reason why Stairway to Heaven shouldn't be anyones favorite song (and it is a good track if you like that sort of thing).
Ok, fair enough...I like that song quite well anyway...
