Personally I'm willing to pay them all the money they ask immediately to get Folder tracks.

I don't think they will release L7 this year, or perhaps ever. I think they may go straight to Live 9 or higher to try and capture the 'pro' crowd.

Live 9 will be called LiveX by mistake, then Live 10 will be called Live X² because it looks cool.

Live X² will have itself as a device, so you can drag itself onto every track inside itself, and in that self another self. After that, Live 11 will be called LiveInfiniteOnion and will contain the Hawking™ warp engine to address the dimensional instabilities introduced by Live X²

That's what he told me anyway.
Any idea on what this should cost?

would be nice if Ableton ironed *all* the bugs out of Live 6 first!
I still occasionally get Live going Whummph! Bang crashing out of sight on OSX :(
And Live 6 is *still* very sensitive (i.e. can crash it!) while using some NI Reaktor ensembles, which otherwise can load/play fine in Logic Pro!!!

Besides, we're not really at 6.0.7 - some of those version numbers were *only* made to bring the various Live versions in line with each other.

P.S. agree totally, the current Live logo is *really* crap!!

It is tradition that Ableton upgrade onto the next level with a whole host of new features every year.

The one thing i look forward too every year.

That particular song influenced my musical output more than pretty much anything I've listened to since.
Stupid varying time signatures, funky basslines, ridiculous noises. Ever so slightly psychedelic !

seveeeennnnn !!!

it's burned permenantly into my consciousness - the mad thing is until I found it not so long ago on youtube I really had no idea just how funky it was

are you trying to depress me?
While I have retained first or second generation masters (quarter inch tape now converted to DAT and CD) of 99% my audio productions over the years it is for above reason there was never a ‘master’ track. This news came as a dissapointment to the folks back at Sesame Street who were planning the current CD release. Unfortunately, I have retained nothing from this session
oh man....gutted

thank god for youtube though - just the fact it is so easy to find the clip is the best thing about our times! 8)

oh and..
And it wasn’t until we had completed the project that I realized I may have stolen the first five notes of the Woody Woodpecker Song
