And that is doing what you desire.
Some would add that respecting the desires of others is part of that.
I personally feel that that idea disagrees with the first concept.
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
(I say this with half a tongue in half a cheek)

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law - must be the most misquoted and understood line ever uttered by anyone in humanity.
It actually refers too the will of the higher self / god / or whatever you want to call it.
In essence it refers to finding your true North and doing what you where put here for within the grand cosmic, spiritual and humanitarian scheme of things.
The whole of the law is doing what that higher power wished for us to do.
Sadly it's been misappropriated and perceived as meaning the very thing you mentioned with "half a tongue in cheek".
Somewhere between a rock and a hard place is actually nowhere.

Oi, I took this shit literally and stayed here.. Me and a gun has fuck all to do in Afghanistan or Iraq. Me and a gun has nothing to do anywhere. Guns DO kill people, fork's ache..
Oh and, lay off the chcken wings... it might be good, but it's bad.
I didn't say it was a good thing now - I just said he took his ideals literally and well did what he thought he had to do
sort of like a Jihad suicide bomber - took the message so real he felt he just had to go blow himself up
that's what I meant -
and in the United States we spell chicken with an I, so it's spelled Chicken. You spelled out the word chcken..not sure if you were actually talking about the bird, I can only assume you were.

i'd like to see another war in the middle east, it really bought the best out of my music. hopefully this time it can be a bit more even and we can have much more pointless loss of life on both sides, that always helps. maybe Iran should invade the US, that would certainly make the world a bit more interesting for a few months. just as long as they both have cool introductions and both use their finishing moves. The winner should be crowned COW champion.

I know that, I said "half tongue in cheek" because it's not really my belief system.
but you're right, I shouldn't go round spouting oft misinterpreted phrases without clarifying how i intended it to be taken. I know the difference between actual Thelema beliefs and practices and the pseudo de Sade reference.
I hope I didn't offend anyone who has these beliefs, it wasn't my intention to misrepresent or malign what another may beleive.

I didn't think anyone would take that comment seriously, I should know better,
